    "Quit working!" on by Snoo

    Pros: small, a GSM phone

Cons: Sim card problems, battery life

Summary: This is the 3rd 3100 phone I have had. The phone would show 3 bars of battery life and then - within hours- the battery life would be completely gone. This latest replacement would show 3 bars and then the next morning it would be so dead that it wouldn't even light up when turned on.
The latest problem is that I am getting a message that says, "Insert SIM card". Well, it is IN. The SIM card is fine. I have just tried layering paper on top of the SIM card to hold it in more tightly at the suggestion of Cingular. Gee, if there's a flaw in the design of this phone, why don't they take responsibility? If this doesn't work, I will have to pay full price for a new phone. Sad phone, sad situation.

"Great phone- Very durable" on by sarrey29

Pros: durable, reliable, battery life, easy to use, small

    Cons: mediocre sound quality

Summary: i've had this phone for a couple years now, and i when i got a brand new motorola i came right back to this phone. the battery life lasts me almost a week, and i spend a LOT of time on my phone. it's very easy to get around the menu and offers a lot of customization. i wouldn't say the look is very appealing, i can't picture a busy office guy talking business on it. it kind of looks like a toy, but its pretty cute. i drop mine almost every day and it has never shown any signs of it. the sound quality is only ok. i often have to ask the other person to repeat themselves because the sound is not as clear as i would hope. the size is perfect. small and lightweight but still easy to use. i highly recommend this phone and other nokias.
