    "Quite Pleased" on by llktr

Pros: Great call quality, easy to use, everything you need, nothing

    Cons: No Bluetooth, no IR

Summary: I went with this phone as a result of a detente with my spouse. We migrated from ATT and combined on a family plan with Cingular. I was fully prepared to hate this phone and start building a case to upgrade (as I do periodically) to the kind of full featured, cutting edge phone that I've been accustomed to using since the mid-90's. Unfortunately, this phone is fantastic. For the past several years I've grown increasingly displeased the addition of some features e.g., I don't want a camera phone, I hate sending text messages, I can't imagine watching a video on a phone, and to me, the idea of composing a ring tone is absurd. As a technology exec, this litte, ordinary phone gives me exactly what I want - great battery life and highly reliable call connections with great sound quality.

"Nice phone, but battery life is a lie." on by cablepete

Pros: Nice functionality, slips easily into a pocket.

Cons: Useful battery life is MUCH less than promised.

Summary: The buttons are rather hard to read - the earlier model of this profile was better, if less sexy, in that regard. Functionality is excellent, but the promised battery life (as published by Cingular) is just not a happening thing. Even replacing the battery with the heftier BL-6C (yes, it will fit with just a bit of fettling) doesn't get it up to par. The nicest thing about Nokia is virtually all their phones use the same charger - a real plus with several phones in the house.

"It works, can't say the same for Cingular!" on by jexner

    Pros: Great Reception, Reliability, Fun

    Cons: No extra's-Bluetooth, Camera

Summary: Excellent phone for the money! Does exactly what a phone should do. Hardly any dropped calls, and the reception is wonderful. Dissappointed that it doesn't have bluetooth or voice activated dialing!

"I love this little guy!" on by EllisBrian

Pros: Great size, nice simplistic styling, easy to use, excellent battery life, great ringers, clear reception

Cons: keys are a bit small, no Bluetooth

Summary: I bought this phone as a replacement for my Motorola v551 and have been thouroughly pleased thus far. I love this phone for all of the reasons I hated the v551. The battery life is great (with heavy usage, it lasted more than 4 days) and I have not yet had one dropped call whereas I was having 3-5 per day with the Motorola. It fits nicely in my pocket and is so light that it never feels like a heavy, cumbersome lump swinging around in my pocket. The interface is very fast (simple technology not cluttered up by pictures and videos). As with all other Nokias, the menus are simple and easy to navigate.
Above all else, though, I've found the phone to be a lot of fun! I enjoy the vibrating alert in sync with the rhythm of the melody and the flashing lights certainly get your attention should the phone ring on silent. There are plenty of different tunes with great sound quality and would be a fun phone for teenagers and professionals alike.
