"Good phone, but lacks important features" on by respiritu

Pros: Small form factor, Nokia's easy-to-use user interface, simple button layout, bright backlit screen and keypad, Push-to-Talk capable

Cons: No bluetooth, will not work with standard Nokia accessories

Summary: The 6102 is a capable phone, but Nokia made several compromises that may deter some looking to upgrade. First and most glaring is the absence of Bluetooth, which will no doubt turn off a great deal of cellphone users looking to carry over their existing equipment to this new device. The same goes for Nokia's inclusion of a differently-sized charging port, which is annoying because it will force current Nokia users to buy new equipment (like car chargers, for instance).

The phone uses Nokia's new Pop-Port, which enables it to recognize accessories plugged into the 6102 and (from what I've read) lets it recharge all connected units from one power source.

Aesthetically, the phone sports an sleek androgynous finish in black, gray, and silver. Both guys and gals should find this phone pleasing to the eye.

Those looking for a starter phone will find the 6102 a great buy, since you can pick it up from most resellers for free. Consumers in the market for a moderately featured phone should look elsewhere.
