Summary: I didn't get this phone for its 3G capabilities, but it will sure be great when T-Mobile finally allows access to the 3G network. The main reason I wanted to try this phone was its user interface, which ROCKS. You can put all your shortcuts on the main display as well as personalize 4 shortcut keys. This is such a simple feature, but difficult to find. The menu arrangements are intuitive and well-organized, unlike those of the RIZR (which I could not stand).
My main beef with the phone is that it feels cheap. The plastic casing is unimpressive. The chintzy keys, however, are large and well delineated from one another, making it easy to write text messages.
Additionally, the mini display leaves something to be desired. It is very slow to display the time once you've flipped the phone closed. The same goes for when you press one of the outside buttons to see the time. You cannot read messages nor peruse contacts, etc.from the mini-display. The outside screen and its buttons are mainly there to control the mp3 player, which I will most likely not use. -

Summary: I've had the Nokia 6263 for five days now. I have to say, its very nice to use. One huge plus, at least to me, that was miss reported in the review by CNET is the ability to use any tone, song, sound, whatever as a ringtone. For some reason, this was contradicted in the review, but as a user of the phone, I can tell you, each of my contacts has a unique MP3 as their ringtone. The way to set that up is simple and straightforward, as is loading music to the phone. As a Mac user, thats about the only easy part of syncing with the computer unfortunately. No calendar or contact syncing, and note syncing is too much to even dream about. Luckily there is a handy (and free) contact sync option on my.t-mobile.com that I found very helpful, although they don't allow you to import vcards unfortunately. The music player/video player/radio is great, as is the camera. I have consistently gotten more then a days use out of the battery despite near constant texting and listening. In fact I am very pleased with just about everything about the phone. And I would suggest T-Mobile to anyone. The service that has been recognized year in and year out for excellence lives up. Once it adds 3G, which I believe can't be too far off, I think it will take off. It is much cheaper, has far more options, and has a far superior way of dealing with its customers (both current and future). As previously mentioned, my.t-mobile.com is great. You can send pictures taken on your phone to an album on the web FOR FREE, and then download them to use as you with, and I love the fact that unlimited family messaging (including IMing) is so cheap. If you are in the market for a new cell phone and you don't need to use the internet on your phone for much, I would strongly suggest the Nokia 6263 and T-Mobile.

Pros: Absolutely nothing is good about this phone from my experience.
Cons: Battery life less than 2.5 days on standby (I am a very limited user so the standby time experienced is not biased due to heavy usage.)
Incoming call quality is very poor. Sounds like speaker is a tin can at best.Summary: I have had two 6263's and both have had the same problems. I cannot honestly say anything good about this phone. I will be receiving a third in a couple of days. I do not expect it to be any better but T-Mobile will not replace it with a different handset until the third try with the same model.

Requires constant babysitting, a total miss on important business-oriented features.
The Nokia 6263's speakerphone requires you to wait for the call to go through before switching speaker on. My previous phone could go to speaker right after dialing, which (in jurisdictions permitting it) is much safer while driving. With the 6263, you have to take your eyes off of the road to dial AND then wait for the call to go through THEN press the speaker button, then switch hands with the phone (see next paragraph). This situation (which is probably common to all Nokia phones) is going to get people killed.
The speakerphone was seemingly designed by and intended solely for someone who is left-handed. The speaker output, if you hold the phone in your hand, is a tiny hole that lands right into your palm between the third and fourth thumb joint, which totally mutes it. The only way to use the speakerphone is to hold the phone upside down, use your left hand, or turn it all the way up and deal with the fact that it sounds like a trumpet with a mute in it.
The final feature lacking on this (and I presume all Nokia) phone is an SMS/text message reminder. If you miss the tone emitted when an SMS comes in, unless you babysit the phone and check it periodically for messages, you've missed it. I've missed some important messages on this phone due to the lack of a reminder tone feature. I have confirmed the lack of this feature with Nokia customer service.
This was my first Nokia product, switching my personal cell from another manufacturer to Nokia (same carrier TMobile) to evaluate it for our business mobiles. It is quite definitely my last Nokia purchase. I'm actually praying it'll get broken or stolen so I have the excuse to spend money on a replacement
If you currently use a Motorola phone and are considering a Nokia phone, DON'T SWITCH FROM MOTOROLA TO NOKIA. While the teen-oriented features like the music player are very well executed, you will miss a lot of basic features which competitors have offered for decades, yet Nokia has somehow left behind. -

Pros: Loaded with features and it is free
Cons: Poor sound, terrible! Slow processor, cheap plastic feel
Summary: This looked like the best bang for your buck phone from Wirefly, t-mobile 2 year contract, free plus a $50 rebate. Problem is this phone is of such poor quality, you would be better off with a Motorola v195 even then this thing. I mean there is a hissing sound, clipping of voices, I can't even stand to use it for 5 minute conversation, because I can't understand the person on the other end, they keep cutting out.
Just an absolute piece of rubbish phone. Yet it is so feature laden, it seems like a good deal, but it is not.
Nokia is going in the wrong direction. I mean motorola and samsung are not perfect, but Nokia used to be the one company you could count on for quality. Not any more.
When I first opened this phone it looked pretty nice, but it really sucks.
In addition to poor voice quality, the CPU is very slow, so when trying to use the camera, you have to wait quite a while between shots, and for the camera to be ready from the time you pushed the button.
Just an all around poor choice.
I have ownes and used and sold probably about 100 phones, so I have plenty to compare.
