Summary: Since this is newer phone, and there are only a couple reviews so far, I thought I would add my two cents. It's kindof random, but its stuff I would've found useful to know.
The Good
+ You can program all 4 shortcut keys.
+ You can start/stop the mp3 player by pressing and holding the play button on the front of the phone.
+ Decent ring tone selection (considering it is from Verizon - there are 25 which is good for them, and they don't all suck).
+ Dedicated speakerphone button. The speakerphone works pretty well, people can't tell when I put it on.
+ Nice key pad, easy to dial, although the circle toggle button (left right up down) is kindof small.
+ You can hold down the # key to set the phone to vibrate.
The Bad
-The speaker isn't the best for playing music, it's fine for speaker phone, but I wish the range went a little louder for music.
-If you are listening to music, then get a call, it doens't go back to playing music after you hang up.
-The music essentials kit wasn't out in the stores yet (but it is online I think).
- The pads that keep the flip phone from slamming shut, you know the little rubber things, they are on the top of the phone by your ear, which kindof bugs. I don't know why they aren't on the bottom like every other phone.
- You can't use your own music (or recordings , which I don't think you can do anyway) for ring tones or alerts.
- No games, sucky menus, and display themes, red bar blazed across the screen, you know, in case you forgot it was a Verizon phone.
Overall, I think it is a good value phone. I like the call quality, the size and design are nice, and it has the features (blue tooth, removeable memory and mp3 player) that I was looking for. -

I've just got 2 phones today: an lg8300 for my girlfriend and a nokia for me. Frankly I am VERY dissapointed so I'll take the Nokia back.
I expected a lot more from it. I lived in Europe for a long time and had the pleaseure to see the huge selection what pretty much every carrier offered there and Nokia was always in the lead team.
First of all this is not a "real" nokia so maybe that is the reason for design flaws.
Unless you are VERY careful, if you hold the phone -especially if it's open - the lens will be full with fingerprints.
2.when you want to charge it there's a small plastic cover which cannot be removed only turned but I guess other phones has that too, however it bugs me when I need to charge it and use it in the same time.
3. the buttons (navigation) are very close to each other and it's very easy to hit the wrong number or key or start another application.
4. my old phone could assign different ringtones to calls with and without caller id. this one can't.Generally the new phones at verizon are more and more stupid, no more games no more this or that, only what you BUY from verizon. and they charge for everything, or made you rent their stuff
Some company huh? Realized that they are the best from all the crappy service providers and think they can do whatever they want... land of freedom bite ya in the ass.

7. Never seen the phone's original menu (maybe it was designed for Verizon) but this one is a joke. Of course Verizon makes the phone artificially retarded and upload its crap so you have to pay for everything.
removes origninally mp3 playing capabilities so it can only play vma now (LG8300). If it would not be that round I would vote for that! A lot better phone than this Nokia.
Out of 10 I would give it a 6 (just because it's slim). Make sure you check one out in real life before you buy it.

Every time the backlight goes out on the phone either outside (phone closed) or on the main screen (while you talk) the screens turn to pitch black! Can't see a thing. I know it is not only the Nokia 6315i but some other phones does it too, but it makes no diff. it's still STUPID! You may can come up with the reason (battery life..or whatever) but let me choose if I want to do that. I want the clock the battery life the signal strenght all the time, We the customer should tell them what we want not the phone comp what we can have as they live from the money you pay them. Not to mention how cheap these to make... anyway after you start to talk on the phone a few sec (depends on your settings) the screens turn black and if you want to know how long are you on the phone you CAN'T or you need to find something on it and (unless you know by heart what key you have to hit 1st) have no clue "where to start"..
The worst that you cannot really customize it either because it has the retarded verizon menu so you like RED stripes or not on the phone you have it. The LG vx6100 was way better than this except the bluetooth
BTW there are FIVE places on the phone where you can read verizon and only 3 where nokia. It is pathetic how they are trying to controll your choices. If you have a new LG8300 press menu - 0 - then go to the music part and you will see what I'm talking about. Verizon should be ashamed! -

Summary: The last phone I owned had a million features, cost a lot, and was bulky. I soon realized this was a stupid purchase as I never used the advanced features and was stuck with a monster in my pocket. This time I went for what I actually needed my phone to do. Make calls.
Other people have complained the phone is dull looking. I was originally attracted to it by looks. So I guess to each is own as far as aesthetics. Perhaps not as sexy as the Razr but I hate being a conformer and I have heard a lot of complaints about the Razr.
Pros
1) Small and comfortable form factor
2) Bluetooth doing the job thus far
3) Speakerphone is easy to use and quality is nice
Cons
1) Nav button takes a little getting use to as it is small. If you are a biggun, not the phone for you probably.
2) Camera sticking out is only thing detracting from beauty.
This is the right phone for somebody who cares mildly about having the newest features but mainly cares about having something easy to carry around and makes good calls.
Side note of advice: I bought a car power inverter a few years ago at Staples for less than a car charger. I use it for my phone and my electric shaver (yes I shave in the car sometimes). Verizon let me get another wall charger with their Bluetooth bundle instead of a car charger. This lets me take it on trips (I keep it in my bag) without moving my other one out my home. -

Summary: I switched last month from Sprint to Verizon and decided to get this phone as my first. After reading the glowing reviews of the Nokia 6215i I decided to look into the 6315i. It had just come out and there were no reviews anywhere for this phone, so I decided to try it out, why not, right?
I wanted a phone that had speakerphone, could take pictures and videos, and one that I could download songs into (for ringtones). I have an mp3 player so this feature is useless to me. I did try it out though and got very annoyed when realized that I couldn't set an mp3 song from my playlist as a ringtone.
Another annoying thing about the phone is the shutter speed of the camera. I have yet to take a good picture. Most come out so blurry that you cannot tell what it is you are looking at. It also takes terrible pics in the dark (even with the flash on). I'm guessing that the only way to take a good picture is if whatever you're taking a pic of is bolted to the floor.
This phone also has a very dumb speakerphone. To activate it you have to open the phone and press the speakerphone button. The speakerphone is on the outside of the flip and if you close the phone to gain better access to the speaker, it hangs up the call. I bought this phone with speakerphone at the top of my "wants" list and therefore this quirky design is very annoying.
Texting also annoys me on this phone. It has no dictionary to ADD words to and for some reason it always defaults to Abc texting instead of T9.
Believe it or not there are a few good things about this phone. I like the fact that it is light...so much so that sometimes I have to doublecheck that I have it on me. It has an extentable antenna which comes in handy from time to time. It has music player buttons that are easy to use (I doubt I'll ever use them, but it seems that it's a nice feature).
All in all i'd say this phone is just OK. Nothing special about it. It looks kind of cool...the inside glows blue thru the buttons and the screen is big.
I previously had a Sanyo 5300 and I am still kicking myself for dropping it and breaking the flip off the phone. That phone was great. This one...not so good by comparison.
