"What a piece of garbage!"0.5 starson by tsdsebay
Pros: Nice looking phone, powers up quick, charges quickly, handset works very well, good data-backup routines.
Cons: Worst speakerphone I've ever run across in a cell phone. Battery life no where near as good as claims, difficult to configure.
Summary: After having a Motorola Razr for 2 years, it was time to update my contract. ATT did not carry any new Motorola flip phones, so I had to pick a new brand. I read reviews for this phone back about 8 months or so ago, and it looked good for me. The only bad points noted at the time was poor multi-media (music). I could care less, so I went with it. I've never been very happy with it, but it worked and I was living fine with it.
Now I need to use the speakerphone, and that just takes me over the line. It has an incredibly low "peak" voume, and sounds like Nokia installed the absolute cheapest speaker from Taiwan that they could find. It just sounds terrible. Forget about possibly being able to hear anything with the car window cracked. Callers can hear you just fine, but you won't hear a thing they say. Maddening.
The phone also comes nowhere near to the battery life the manufacturer claims. Far short on that end. And then there is the mini SD card -- you have to _really_ push it hard to get it to work and in comes loose easily.
This was just too much -- I called ATT today and asked them to switch me out with a different phone -- I'd had enough of this piece of garbage. I got the feeling I was not the only one ...
Don't get this phone! I'm not that picky about this stuff, but I took the time to create an account and write a review just to share others a bit of this misery!
