"BATTERY LIFE IS BAD 60-90 mins talk time MAYBE"
Pros: The look, feel, easy user operation, calendar, voice recorder
Cons: BATTERY LIFE TALK TIME, volume, speaker phone, camera
Summary: I loved the phones look, feel, and user friendly-ness, this is the ONLY phone I could hold to my ear and feel really comfortable due to the shape of the earpiece. The keypad feels excellent and is extra easy to use, it?s effortless in punching the keys was a 1st for me cuz it takes a lot of key punching when I get a new phone.
Camera is unimpressive, you can NOT turn the key pad back light off which uses up the battery, the speaker phone quality is very poor and the over all volume level was so low I was always pushing on the VOLUMN button on the phone, my blue tooth or pushing the phone HARD against my ear straining to hear in areas not completely quite.
The Calendar is one of the BEST to set up and use and the voice notes feature is EXCELLENT for making reminder!
WORST of all, and the MAIN reason I took it back was the TALK TIME, I was lucky to get 60 mins out of it with NO texting, camera use or anything but phone calls.
I would of put up with everything else but that was the LAST STRAW.
Nokia had been my favorite phone Co. for years but how did they let this SERIOUS FLAW get out the door?
They rate it at 3.5 hrs talk time, NO WAY! There are numerous reviews out over the last 6 Mo. most saying as I have; the battery life IS the BIG problem.
I solved my dilemma with a Sony Ericsson Z750A, it?s listed as 7-9 hrs talk time and that?s TRUE!!
Unless you CONSTANTLY charge the 6555 in your car, as soon as you get home and carry 1-2 extra batteries with you it?s a waste of money, OR if you only talk 1 hr a day maybe 90 mins IF your lucky?
Wake up Nokia and test BETTER before you shove it out the door PLEASE! If a phone is rate 3.5 hours talk time, then you should get 3.5 hrs talk time!
