"Rubbish! Total crap! The phone had a breakdown." on by Kathleen_Garner
Pros: The price, but we later found why...
Cons: Poor, poor quality construction. Poor signal reception, crappy sound quality.
Summary: The phone stopped working before the end of the first week. It displayed a memory error and would not allow calls to be made or received. As keys were depressed, the incorrect information was entered onto the display. What a piece of crap. The enclosed paperwork did not cover the error experienced and the hassle of a return was necessary.

"it's $30 at walmart" on by nubwaxer
Pros: I used T-mobile for over 3 years prepaid. Now no T-Mo signal where I live. I bought one of these at Walmart for $30 and use prepaid BASIC (none of that daily access nonsense), and I could not be happier.
Cons: tiny, almost too small, if that's a flaw.
Summary: could not be happier with this basic phone, and guess what--bluetooth and camera work great.

"Flimsy, but not bad for a free phone" on by jay.crockett
Pros: Ridiculously small and light, has a camera and all the standard Verizon phone features (Get it now, etc)
Great battery life.Cons: Very cheap feeling, no removable memory, bad call quality (though no problem with dropped calls)
Summary: This was the only phone the Verizon store was willing to give me for free when I signed up for a new account, so I reluctantly accepted. This was the same day I turned in my company Blackberry 8800 World Edition after being laid off so I was very acutely aware of the downgrade. I've since come to be fond of the thing, it's come to be symbolic of a scaled down lifestyle. I have a new job and could afford a better phone, but I've decided to hang on to this one for now. It's nice not to have a giant phone strapped to my waist all the time.

"Basic small phone with BT, Camera, & Nokia interface" on by gatorsms
Pros: Inexpensive, paid $20 at Best Buy. Activated on PagePlus for $6. This is a phone for my 84 yo mom who's used to the Nokia interface and would be unhappy with a Motorola. Very small, but the buttons are sufficient size to press with larger fingers.
Cons: No external antenna like my Motorola phones, so reception isn't as good in fringe areas.Very plasticky. Speakerphone is not very good.
Summary: It's what it is. A very inexpensive and simple phone, but with a few features not normally found in sub $20 phones, like a camera, a USB charge connector rather than a proprietary connector, and Bluetooth.
