"Perfect phone for limited pre-paid use." on by zelenka

Pros: Clean design, durable construction, excellent performance, nice tactile keypad.

Cons: Can turn on a bit too easily in pocket.

Summary: After using more than a dozen basic phones this is the one for me. Smooth compact design perfect for pocket carry. Excellent voice quality and reception. Nice keypad feel with five-way toggle switch. Simple efficient interface. Feels and looks like aluminum but probably a durable plastic. Ideal limited use phone for Cingular pre-paid service.

It occurred to me that I've not yet seen a discount on this phone. That would seem to say a lot about its quality and popularity. This link certainly backs that up if I can use it here: www.phonereviews.net/Pantech/PG-C120-cell-pnone-review.htm
    Well worth checking out.

"This cell phone is awful!" on by wunderbar_574

Pros: I like the fact that it broke, so I had to buy a new cell.

Cons: The buttons are way too small to use, and the toggle button is easily pressed, which becomes a nuisance because every time you press that button, it takes you to the Media Center, which (surprise!) costs you money. The phone isn't even customizable.

Summary: I'd save your well-earned money and buy a different model or perhaps even brand of phone. I had this piece of crud for over a year, and I never grew to like it.

"That little button in toggle will break any second now" on by randombuyer703374

Pros: Only thing I can see possitive about this phone is it's size IF you are into tiny little things that will drop or get lost quickly

Cons: Way too small. Design is questionable with the keys too small and close together.

Summary: It was a difficult decision to purchase this phone and I did it over the internet. There are few selections for a reasonably priced phone from AT&T that isn't a contract phone. I finally based it on cost because I needed a replacement phone for my AT&T 'go phone' plan. Opened box, took out phone and tested how it felt ect. HERE is the big problem I can see and why it went right back in the box and will be returned tomorrow. That tiny itty bitty wee little button in the middle of the small tiny toggle area gets pushed around by your thumb when you try to push the toggle in any direction. That button wiggles around and I'll swear you could push it right off with one hard placed toggle. I'm willing to bet AT&T will see a lot of these returned once those start going bad or fall off.

"Can't beat a basic phone." on by mizeryschild

    Pros: Small, lightweight, durable, customizable.

Cons: Volume is too low, speakerphone could be better, keypad too small.

Summary: When it comes to phones, I've had them all: Pocket PC's, sidekicks/hiptops, flip-phones, camera phones, bar phones, etc. When I purchased this phone, I did so mainly based on price, and after reading a few reviews, I must say I had some concerns. May of the concerns I read about (keypad size for instance and problems writing text messages) absolutely have merit. I must agree that the keypad size on this phone could have been helped a little, especially when you have big fingers like myself. I don't particularly care for the 5-way joystick controls, either, but what can I say about a $20 phone aside from, "I got what I paid for." All of the phone functions are easy to use, and the applications run quickly and smoothly (unlike Kyocera's most recent basic flip) and the WAP functions exactly like it should: like a mini-browser with a watered-down version of the internet. The phone itself touts that it also incorporates java technology, but apparently Pantech did not apply it to the WAP browser, or else the browsing experience would have been a bit more conducive.
All in all, if you've got a kid who wants a phone and you don't want to shell out a lot of money, go ahead and get this one. You can't beat it for $20 on the GoPhone network.

"Not as good as it sounds." on by William056

Pros: It has a professional appeal.

    Cons: Doesn't deliver as promised.

Summary: I have had this phone for about a week now. There has been nothing but problems. The instruction manual is not designed to assist the user in setting up the phone. If you call Cingular expect to be treated like dirt. In addition to their abusive personalities they have little or no knowledge of this phone. If this phone is considered “good” then I would hate to have a bad one.
