Pros: Small, lightweight, easy to navigate
Cons: takes too long for apps to load, web browser not very good, lacking in customization options, lacking in options for text and alarms.
Summary: For basic calling and texting it's fine. It fully charges for me in about 30 minutes.
It takes up to a minute or more to get apps up and running such as the web browser and music player. The GPS app is very slow, Yellow Pages decent.
It is very lacking on options for texting. I can only search my inbox by date/time received and read/unread. you can't search by sender, very annoying and time consuming. There is no multiple select for deleting or moving texts, you much perform the function one at a time or for all (and hope you locked everything you don't want deleted or moved).
The alarms are limited to 5 and you can't name them. If you select a snooze option, the snooze will only go off once instead of multiple times until it is turned off. No good for me!
The screen is not the worst size for web browsing, but it isn't very good for more than quick email checks.
Mine is about 18 months only now and both the ear and speaker phone speakers are starting to wear out. I suspect the microphone is also because I'm having more trouble with people hearing me. The screen gets scratched very easily and fingerprints are a constant annoyance. If you wear any kind of foundation or sunscreen on your face it will smudge on the screen constantly. The center joystick button cover cracked on my phone about three months ago, it still functions but is difficult now.
If you need to do more than talk and text on a regular basic I don't recommend this phone at all. If you do just need a basic phone... I don't really recommend it either. There are nicer and simpler basic phones. -

Pros: lightweight, nice shape, can hold a lot of pictures and texts
Cons: Not intuitive at all (takes a while to learn), TERRIBLE battery life, pictures often are blurry, software glitches, freezes up.
Summary: I have had a terrible experience with this phone. From near the beginning the battery would not hold a charge very long. I have to charge it everyday and I don't use it that much. I have had a lot of trouble with software glitches and the screen freezing (where you have to remove the battery because you can't turn the phone off). It changes text in text messages after I hit send. My joystick then split in half one day when I was using it. That was the last straw. They didn't want to replace it because they said the joystick was considered physical damage but yet I hadn't dropped or abused it. Eventually they agreed to replace it "as a favor to me" (whatever). Get the new one, and two days later the speaker goes out and it's unusable, and the battery still won't hold a charge. The cell phone company is now sending me a different brand of phone and I'm GLAD! This phone has been one of the worst I've ever had. It's not very intuitive either...it will take you a long time to figure out. And things aren't where you think they ought to be. Seems like poor design by the software developers.

Pros: Decent basic, free phone.
Cons: Have to remember to lock the keyboard or no telling who or what you'll call when you have it in a pocket.
Summary: It's a phone, it works. Definitely not intended as an entertainment device or it would be easier to add apps to it without
having to pay AT&T for the pleasure. -

Pros: Relatively inexpesive, good battery life when NOT using web or bluetooth, microSD card slot, MP3 player
Cons: joystick sensitivity, small screen, learning curve
Summary: I got this phone to serve as a phone and an MP3 player. It works fairly well as both. Call clarity and volume are good but you have to have the phone in the right position relative to your ear or it will sound muddy. The MP3 player function works well enough, but it does take about a minute to read the files on the 2GB uSD card I have in the phone. ONce you have activated the MP3 player there is no way to shut it off without turning restarting the phone. Meaving the MP3 player active (albeit paused) drains the battery fairly quickly. An adapter cable ($8, don't buy it free AT&T as they will gouge you for it) is needed to listen to your music over the. The joystick is very sensitive as are the keys. Since this is a candy bar style phone it is impossible to just carry it in your pocket since the joystick and the keys will get hit as you move around. So I usually leave the phone in "locked" mode. I also carry the phone in a belt holster. Leaving the phone in "locked" mode extends the battery life. I don't make or receive many calls so I charge my phone roughly once per week. I have found that using any thing (bluetooth, games, web, mp3 player) on the phone severely curtails battery life. I have also had some problems with using bluetooth to transfer the files from the phone. I use bluetooth to transfer files from my wife's and father's phones to my PC, but this phone does not interface well my bluetooth connection to my PC (running Blue Soliel). THis is not really a problem since any file on the hpone can be transferred to the SD card and then read by the computer via a card reader, but it would be nice to be able to move pics off of the phone (and ringtones to the phone) without having to remove the SD card. Knowing what I know now I would probably opt to spend another $30 and get the Nokia 6650 (my second choice) instead of this phone if given the choice again.

Pros: This was the free upgrade for my AT&T account, so I didn't pay anything for it, which is actually the best thing I can say about this bit of nonsense.
Cons: Too easily damaged, buttons too sensitve, comes with no case, not even a cheap fake leather one (a $40 add on, give me a break!), too many steps to complete simple functions.
Summary: This was the free upgrade for my account, which AT&T claims is a $300 value (please...). It came with no extras -- not even a cheap vinyl case or a little headset -- both items would have cost me close to $100 to add on -- what a joke. The screen will be a scratched up POS by midweek, the buttons are so sensitive that all my settings change when I stick this in my pocket and go for a run, or the browser gets turned on and stays on until I pull out the phone to check messages. The simplest functions require far too many steps, too. I shouldn't have to hit five or six keys just to exit something. Ridiculous. No wonder it's "free". I'm packing this up, putting it back in the box and getting my old original Sony Ericsson phone back from when AT&T was Cingular reactivated. It may be as thick as a brick, but that thing was pretty straightforward and you could hit it against a brick wall witha baseball bat and it wouldn't break. Guess this is a cutsie little phone for people with no lives, but for active, engaged adults who live in the real world and who prefer talking to real live people face to face more than texting, it's a piece of junk.
