  • "Slim, sturdy touch-screen phone-no data plan required!"
    4.0 stars
    on by cellogail

    Pros: Great display
    Good camera
    capacitive screen
    Slim but sturdy
    Great call quality

    Cons: Nothing so far

Summary: For someone who wanted a more up-to-date touch-screen phone without the required data plan, this is the best I have seen. I was worried because I traded this for a Pantech Jest which had a software bug no one at Verizon recognized as a problem--and I gave up after having 5 of them sent to me in succession! While I don't usually purchase a newly released phone, I've been nothing but happy with this one, even though it took me awhile to learn how to text smoothly, Calls are crystal clear, reception is great, screen is responsive and colorful, and camera even produces pretty good pics. And, best of all, NO DATA PLAN IS REQUIRED!

I have NOT experienced the phone getting warm upon charging or talking while charging as another reviewer noted. The battery holds its charge for at least 3 days if you don't do a lot of texting, about 1.5-2 days if you do. About average, I'd say.

All in all, this is a great phone that performs well and feels good in the hand--perfect for someone who doesn't mind a virtual QWERTY and who doesn't want a data plan.

I, too, wish there was a hard case made for this, but I imagine that if this phone takes off, there will be more than the expensive Body Glove case available soon.

I forgot to mention that the headphone jack is regular size and therefore does not require an adapter--another plus, in my opinion!

Did you write this review the day you bought this device? for the money, your pros are correct, but under cons you should have said everything else. the only time period when I experienced what you have was in the first few days when I blamed it on me not knowing the phone. This has to be the worst phone of history.
