"Best full featured "non" smartphone out there." on by bechtoea

Pros: Very versatile, easily carried, seems to be durable, and best of all, easy to use.

Cons: Open's up when you pop it in your pocket, recommend for "men" a lock of some sort on the next design. If you turn the phone off (required where I work), the keypad on the front isn't locked so it can turn itself on in your pocket.

Summary: This phone replaced a very basic Nokia phone. Also, I still have my litle "World's smallest camera phone" made by pantech. I didn't want a smartphone because the data plan is twice as much. The cool thing about this little Pantech Matrix is it will do 90% of what a Smartphone will, certainly more than most people will ever need. Navigation and MobileTV have additional cost though not as much as one might think. Furthermore, CV, basically a video news and entertainment feature, is FREE with the $15 data plan. And the phone is easy and intuitive, and for stuff you can't figure out, there's the owner's manual and even online tips and tricks. This is one nice phone.

Other stuff I like. First, it's LOUD!! I usually have to crank the volume up on other models to hear the caller but on any Pantech, you can get the earpiece almost as loud as the speakerphone if you choose. The ringer is the same way.

Things I don't like? When you lock the keys out, if you go to put it in your pocket be careful or the unit will open and unlock all the keys. there is a way to lock the front keypad, but then it's a pain to unlock. The better fix would be to have a way of just locking the unit closed. It would be ideal because you can still answer calls with the unit closed. Also, some of the QWERTY keyboard keys "wash out" with some types of lighting so you cannot read it. Finally, the book and all documentation states the camera has a zoom. It does not, probably a software bug since the video camera DOES have zoom.

That's all I got. The unit rox, I love it, it's better than any other I have had and I have had quite a few.

"Good phone but not perfect" on by Havo451

Pros: Keyboard is easy to use
    Call quality is good
    Screen is good

Cons: AT&T Spam is EVERYWHERE and can not be removed
Can not customize some of the menu and button options
AT&T Spam is EVERYWHERE and can be not removed, really

Summary: Its a good phone for text messaging and e-mail. It would be a lot better without the loads of AT&T garbage in it.

"Great Phone. Love it. My favorite phone." on by amagickfairy

Pros: when u move from dial pad to keyboard the screen stays open. Calls are great. 1 button opens text screen. When taking a pic. u can use dial screen or keyboard view for wide/narrow.2 hang up u just slide it up and throw back into your purse.

Cons: There are a lot of features I don't use or don't know what they are. Phone is a bit thick and screen is easy to scratch and smudge.

Summary: Battery Life is normal, I can go about a week and a 1/2 before recharge. I love this phone. I enjoy the fact that it can close to protect the keyboard and dial pad. My daughter wanted me to get the Bold or blackjack etc. but, I worried about the keyboard in my pocket. I am glad I stuck with the Matrix. I love it.

"LOVE THIS PHONE>" on by squishythecat1977

Pros: What grabs you when you first open the box is the compact size of the phone. With its qwerty keyborad, and number pad it makes both messaging easy and comfortable. It has a memeory card slot, which is what I look for in a phone.

Cons: One thing that I dont like about this phone is that the number pad that can be used for texting a well, you can permanently set the predictive text on, or at least I havent found out how to do that yet.

Summary: Although t can get to be a bit bulky, this phone has everything and more of what you could ever need in a phone. With its dual slide capability, and easy texting, it is a great phone. The camera takes really great pictures, and the ounds is incredible. Pantec has really done a great job with this prduct. Iw ill be recommending it to all my friends.

"good concept bad phone" on by AaronShook

Pros: Cool concept and a pretty nice keyboard

Cons: Buttons too small and a crappy navigation.

Summary: I first got it in October and I absolutely loved it... at first. It gets frustrating when you keep hitting the music button and the navigation is pretty crappy too. Just about a week and a half ago the side sliding main screens track broke away from the phone leaving it hanging, and later resulting in the screens full removal from the phone. I never dropped the phone never mistreated or abused it in any way. The warranty covered it and sent me a new one but overall I'd rather get a Tilt or Curve. The Quickfire looks pretty nice too
