"PN-300 problems"
Pros: M4 FCC rating
Cons: No caller ID/Signal
Summary: I have had this cell phone since October 2006. I am hearing impaired and bought this phone because Circuit City advertised its M4 rating. I could not hear that well using the PN-300 and my hearing aids. However, without the hearing aid I can hear with the PN-300 almost as clearly. Listening to my voice mail I could not hear as clearly and have had to have someone listen to it for me. I tried the speaker phone and I could not hear with or without my hearing aids.
The PN-300 that I have never had caller-ID. I have had people standing right next to me call me so that I could show them that caller -ID was not available.
It took almost 2 years to finally turn off the beep sound that occurred with the vibration alert.
Verizon charges and extra $10 per month because this phone does not have a camera.
The signal from Verizon leaves much to be desired in many places.
If you are hearing impaired find a phone rated M4/T4. I am testing an AT&T cell phone (RAZR) that is rated M3/T3 it is clearly inferior in the clarity of sound department for hearing without the hearing aid.

Your absolutely right, Verizon service both in storefronts and over the air is rotten at this location. I guess that big bunch of Verizon "experts" are behind me a thousand percent just like Pres. Nixon was behind VP Agnew!
Once you become a prepay customer (as recommended by a Verizon rep) none of the service reps give a fat ?&%#^&* since they can't make any additional money on you.
Verizon is truly the bastard child of Ma Bell. She must be rolling over in her grave!
