  • "Not reliable"
    on by jpfitz0316

    Pros Dual keyboards

Cons Not reliable; screen/phone freezes up and does not always rotate screens.

Summary Returning second one in two weeks.

    Updated on Jul 27, 2009

Returning second one in two weeks for; screen freezing and not always rotating, pour performance, low available memory for surfing internet, email disappearing after being read or before it can be read (maybe a Sprint issue), garbled text messages being received. Back light does not always stay on to time set.

  • "Not a good phone choice"
    on by ElizabethTravis

Pros There are no "PRO's" about this phone. It's an oversized piece of garbage

Cons My 8 year old doesn't even want this phone. I was cpersuaded by sprint into upgrading to this but I'd rather have my old Sanyo Sprint SCP-3200. I would rather use my Asus Eee PC 4G to access MySpace & Facebook ect. The phone is over rated.

Summary Bad choice. If you want to do all the internet apps on a phone go with the Apple iPhone 8 GB. I purchased the Apple iPhone 8 GB after giving my 8 year old child the Samsung Exclaim SPH-M550. It's a good first cell phone for a small child though. Good to learn on. I would recomend this only for a child to mess around with because thats about all it's worth.

    Pros nothing good

Cons not reliable....lots of problems...replaced several.. about to replace again...freezes...lots of glitches.."ghost" textes...so i dont know if i'm missing any...wont update software - so i always have 2 bring it in...not worth my hard earned $$$$$$$$$

Summary totally un reliable.. dont rely on if u may need to call for help... u may die.....

Pros I loved this phone for the first 2 months. I could text for days, access everything on a decent sized screen with good clarity. Loved it. Until...

Cons A few months in, a message would pop up once in a while - "XX slots left. Oldest deleted when full". It wasn't full at all, but it was blocking all incoming texts! Then the warning frequency increased to every 2 minutes. It was going off constantly.

Summary It's a texting phone. After a few months, it blocks incoming texts. It wasn't retaining texts. And it was going off CONSTANTLY with the bogus alert mentioned above. I couldn't have it in meetings. It went off while I was on calls. My kids' teachers couldn't text me (only option while in meetings). It is useless. I found scores of the same complaint documented online. I had the same experience they did - I went to Sprint, they reset it, and it started doing it a few days later. It clearly has a bug. I've been warned that they will try to fix it several times, then will give me a replacement of the same thing. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. It starts out fabulous, but this problem is a big one. You can't even use the alarm clock because the thing goes off all night long with the "slots" message. Stay away! You'll lose your mind!

Pros looks good, other than that none.

Cons everything about the phone is terrible, name a feature it and did not work right, the sorriest excuse for a phone I've ever seen, only people Id recommend this phone to are people who like to waste money and time.

Summary This company should recall this product and apologize for it. you'll have better luck sending emails then texts. and shouting across the city instead of calling, use the home phone if you have one.The camera is pathetic and the camcorder is even worse! if you have a voice mail 1): you are lucky to listen to it 2):you will not be able to erase the Voice mail, filling the mail box, if you send a text there a 80% chance it would not send, instead it will put the text in the draft box, and not give you an option to open the folder, then send old or unwanted texts3 weeks later out of no where, random calls, the phone requires a special pare of head phones that the cheapest Ive found is 75$ for the off brand products! Also if you don't format the Micro SD card the right way and get lucky, downloading a song will erase anything and everything on your phone.i had to use this for 10 months sadly. I regret ever purchasing this phone, even for looks, still not worth 4$ in my opinion. the internet was pathetic and takes 30 minutes to load the sprint home page, videos on you tube were even worse and for the most part wouldn't play any videos, the quality of sound from the speaker in the phone was dismal.. The bottom line is the exclaim has to go down as one of the worst products this company has ever made.
