"Its a nice easy to use messaging phone." on by JCINWH

Pros: Size of the virtual key pad is large and comfortable. qwerty key pad is easy to use. touch screen navigation is a breeze. simplicity of phone is awesome. feels very sturdy. call quality sounded equal to my Black Berry Bold and IPhone.

Cons: No 3.5mm jack. Proprietary plug (requires an adapter to connect to computer and head phones). Speaker phone is not very loud.

Summary: Despite my quibbles the Samsung flight is a capable messaging phone. I have experienced only good call quality. The battery life is good. Music player sounds better than my IPhone and equal to my Black Berry Bold. Bottom line Samsung Flight is what it is. A competent easy to use messaging phone that needs no apologies.

"Great Phone, lot's of functions!" on by BONNI3Bridgette

Pros: EVERYTHING, this phone can do almost everything that a pc can do. I love it. I can check my e-mail, browse the web while i'm talking on the phone. I love the touch screen! And messaging is great. It's even got a little sketch pad! Great!

Cons: I don't like that fact that it didn't come with software that is compatible with my Mac ;(

    Summary: Great!

    "Cool Phone!!!!!!" on by howe09

Pros: Qwerty keyboard, Touch Screen, Music, Speaker

Cons: The Homepage isn't customizable, No themes

Summary: I found this phone to be extremely enjoyable. The music player is nice good speaker quality. The messaging i found was a little hard the sending message screen pops up and wint let you do anything till its done this could be annoying if your texting multiple people. I haven't tried the browser but I've heared its good. The home screen isn't customizable but i can get over that. This is a really good phone touch screen slider is nice to have!!!!

"Decent touch screen with qwerty keyboard" on by ba11man

    Pros: qwerty keyboard
    solid construction
    touch screen
    battery life

Cons: limited ability to customize the interface
    not quite a "smart phone"
    lack of threaded text messaging

Summary: This is my first foray into touch screen phones (replacing a RAZR) and I'm happy with it, but I get jealous when I see my friends droids & iphones. Wanted a qwerty keyboard so I didn't go with the iphone. Plus, the price was right - FREE ($50 with a $50 rebate).

I've had no problems with the call quality or signal strength, but occasionally the internet connection goes a little flaky. Usually it happens when I'm at a large sporting event so I wonder if it's more of an AT&T problem than a device problem.

Salesperson bragged about all the apps available in the AppCenter, but most are games. There's very few non-game type apps, and the ones that exist are generally pretty expensive ($8-$15 per month).

Overall I'm happy with the phone, but I can see myself upgrading to an android based phone when my contract is up.

"Great messaging phone and dabbles at the multimedia" on by colinor

    Pros: Slider QWERT keyboard
Touchscreen so slider is not needed
Favorites Contacts as an option, once selected you can either select call, txt, video call, contact info
Camera is ok, good for a phone, hold it camera style with shutter on top

Cons: I did want 3.5 mm jack, and know next year there will be a standard charging port. I also hate it that samsung changes its jack what seems like every 6 months. Butt txted a couple times when slider slid openned

Summary: Great phone for my needs, no smart phone (too expensive), qwerty keyboard (takes me 10 mins to type a reply to a txt otherwise), speakerphone (not so good but decent enough, nervous about it, but turned out to be fine), cool ( i like cool new gadgets and toys), I have a lot less hangups, since you can close the slider during the call, two colors to easily distinguish with my wife's. There are a lot of other features not explored I can't comment on: GPS (pricey), Music apps, MobiTV(pricey). Probably even more that I don't even know about yet. My initial excitement for the social net died pretty quickly, but everything else is still cool after 2 weeks.

This year I had 4 phones, right now this is my choice, and most pleased when compared to owning the others for the same period of time, i.e. 2 weeks sfter having each. Upgraded my RZR lxxx to propel, it went for a swim after a 5 weeks in a cup of water, so zendoo.com to get blackjack2, my wife thought that was dirty so it got washed after 6 weeks, alond with the rzr, so got the VU, which got boring and hard to text on the touchscreen (6 months) so here I am, happy wtih the flight
P.S why does samsung have a noun name (flight), and then a code (sgh-797) on all their phones, just pick one or the other, much easier to search for reviews and accessories?
