Samsung Glyde SCH-U940 (Verizon Wireless)

Pros: Cool looking - nice color display. At first glance this is a fun and functional phone

Cons: touch screen is very difficult to operate. Hanging up from a call is painful. It's also a pain to find a contact quickly without opening it, and typing the letter in... just not worth it.

Summary: I wish I'd seen the consumer reviews first! What a waste of money. It's really too bad because the phone appears to have so much potential, but the touch screen is clumsy at best. To dial you must first unlock the phone by sliding the key to the lock button - then open your dial pad to dial or open your contacts, then open your phone to dial the first letter (or more) of the contact you want then push the button for the number of the contact you want to dial. Hanging up is equally bad! The camera is not very good either... but I figure that's to be expected - I want a phone before a camera. I'll be returning my phone this weekend - too bad b/c it really seemed promising.

Oh, one more thing - the battery life is AWFUL. Brand new - fully charged it's practically run out of battery on me by the end of the day - and I don't use my phone that often.
