"Very good, simple phone." on by jonathanemira
Pros: Durable shell, durable keys, easy to use, long battery life.
Cons: Not very customizable, but you get what you pay for. Horrible for internet.
Summary: I use this only for talking and texting. It works great for me, never gives me problems. I enjoy it because its simple, anyone looking for anything fancy won't be too thrilled. Highly recommended, but only for basic uses.

"Great Features" on by Batman
Pros: QWERTY Keyboard; Great Sound;
Cons: Defective phone had an echo for other party, when on speaker.
Proprietary plugs.Summary: Take my review with a grain of salt. I want a phone that works as a phone. I don't need a camera, I don't need an mp3 player, I don't need a gaming device, gps, all I really want is a phone where people can hear me and I hear them. Everything else is secondary.
I had the Gravity 2 for two weeks, before returning one in which the other person would hear an echo if I used the speaker phone. Problem solved by using earphones or blue tooth. But, I prefer speaker phone. Replacement device does not have that echo, even under similar conditions.
Another complaint is the proprietary plugs. I hate them for two reasons. The obvious being, to replace them you are stuck with Samsung plugs, etc. The second issue is less obvious, but, if you use the wired ear plugs that come with it, Samsung's design has the wire going away from your ear. This has two negative side effects: one, the wire will break easier, because it's going against the flow. Second, it pulls on your ear and that hurts, dangit. I believe having a more flexible plug would alleviate the stress on one's ear. Solution: use a blue tooth or speaker phone.
Overall sound quality is great. If you purchase this phone, and you don't get good sound quality, take it back within your 14 or 30 days because you may just have a defective phone.
Since I dont use the camera, or any of the other whoopdeedoos, I won't comment other than to say, if you're wanting a good quality camera, don't expect that in any cell phone, just put the money out and get a good 10MP name brand camera.
I purchased this at Costco with a nice accessory bundle which included a case, wired ear plugs, car charger, wall charger, battery, sim card and the biggie, a blue tooth ear piece; which is cool, but, even with the gel pad, after a while the bulky piece hurts the ear. But, still nice freebies.
I like this phone as it is really a smart phone: ie, I wasn't required to pay an extra $30 for a data plan; but, it does have data plan phone features, ie, a decent QWERTY keyboard, for easier texting, and emails. (Not sure what exactly the $30 data plan includes, but, for $20 you can have unlimited texting and unlimited internet. So, if a smartphone costs more, why not buy this stupidphone instead, and save $10-30 a month?) -
"If you want to connect with others, pick another phone" on by kathleensloss
Pros: Good camera quality. Love the color.
Cons: Not reliable when it comes to sending or receiving phone messages or texts in your own home. Dangerous drawback if you need to make an emergency phone call.
Summary: Perhaps it's the service, but everyone else with T-Mobile can send texts and make and receive phone calls in my house. I could and still can with my old Nokia. I stood in the middle of the street, in the rain, last night hoping the cell phone gods would allow my text to be sent. I had to press "Try again?" three times before it was sent!!! Other times it tells me I can only make emergency calls, then 5 seconds later, while standing in the same spot, it lets calls go through. Please don't tell me it's the service. My husband stood there with me with his Samsung Gravity and had absolutely no trouble making a call to me. We live 7 blocks away from a cell tower. The Gravity 2 is not working. I exchanged for another Gravity 2, thinking it was a bad phone, but I am having the same problems. I am going back to the store today to pick out another style of phone. I am not impressed and am infuriated at the Gravity 2!
