"Better-than-average basic phone, but with a few flaws."
3.5 starson by Qs-KcPros: Call quality, camera, and overall look / feel are all vast improvements over the original Samsung Gusto. Demo games are easily deletable. The fake call feature is an absolute godsend.
Cons: Terrible main screen resolution. Uncovered charging port can collect dust. Headphone jack smaller than standard. Dimwitted placement of the loudspeaker button means it will often be activated by left-handed users when closing the phone.
Summary: I bought this phone only because it was on sale for a penny less than the amount of airtime it came with, so as a free phone it was a no-risk proposition. I found that as basic clamshell phones for prepaid customers go it's probably the best value available as of this writing (and I've tried almost all of them), but when the Gusto 3 comes out I'd hope the fairly serious flaws I've listed above will be fixed, especially the first three. If you can find this phone at $9.99 with $10 airtime as I did and have use for (or prefer, as I do) a no-frills clamshell handset you'd be very wise to pick one up for yourself, but by no means pay the $79.99 MSRP (or even half that) for it.
