"A major drawback"
Pros: Pretty and very simple, readable handset
Cons: Go phone type of flat fee plan is inadequate
Summary: My mother-in-law loved this phone, but elderly people often have little to do but talk to their friends and relatives. The maximum reasonable phone plan from Jitterbug is 300 minute a month (and old people are "frugal"?). She spent 73 minutes talking to her old girlfriend and had many calls over 30 minutes. She ran up 750 minutes in one month. Enormous bill. My cingular plan is 850 minutes, and my calls seldom exceed 3 minutes. This would be a great phone if there was a practical calling plan attached.

Perfect phone, I have trouble reading my numbers and even more trouble pushing small number pads. I have ATT and I only use my phone as a phone. Also less than 300 minutes per month. Which is where I started years ago till I got hosed by sprint. Switched to ATT and my service plan has cost me 4 times what I need even on a minimal plan.
