"Great phone for people who use a phone to make calls" on by dunadin

Pros: Small, light, good call quality, Voice commands, MP3 player

    Cons: No expandable memory

Summary: This is great phone for people who use their phone primarily to make calls. It is small, light, has vibration alarm and a small set of utilities (alarm clock, calculator, world clock to name some). And then there is the MP3 player as bonus.

As for the usability, the keys are small and not suitable for a lot of texting. Also, as mentioned in the main review, you have to flip the phone upside down when opening it. However, it took me maybe 5 phone calls to get used to it and now I do it single handedly. And in the end, with voice command and a good headset, I only take the phone out of my pocket to charge it or select a different soundtrack anyway.

The camera does not make movies, but then again I only use it to take a photo of my shopping list off the fridge (and it does a great job in case you ever have to document an accident). No minus for the missing movie part on my side.

The MP3 player works great and 2GB is plenty for a good workout, although it would have been nice to have a microSD slot. This is the only downside as far as I am concerned.

Missing 3G or V cast is ok. I don't download songs for $2 anyway and the small form factor rules web browsing out even if it would be included. Having 3G and using the phone as a modem with the laptop would have been the icing, though.

Bottom line: I got mine on the release date and have been very happy with it. If you need all the online bells and whistles, this is not the phone for you. If you need a phone than can make calls, has the important extras on the road and replaces your Nano in the gym, get it.

Who would have thought of it? A phone primarily for making calls! This may come as a shock, but *all* I want in a cellphone is a telephone. I am astonished at the whining that a cellphone doesn't have a video camera. Well, duh, why should it? It's a telephone. All I want is high quality telephone, excellent coverage and exceptionally long battery life which I had with my AT&T Nokia cellphone. In my opinion, cramming in a camera, mp3 player, gps and who knows what else into that tiny box *must* take away from its function as a telephone.
