"Great performer"
Pros: Call quality, camera, music player, display, sturdy build
Cons: 2.5 mm headphone jack, memory card under battery
Summary: I was looking for an extremely thin phone with great features and the Muse (SCH-U706) surely fits the bill. Even in a full protective case it doesn't protrude far off my belt. Call quality on my Muse has always been crisp & clear, even when I traveled to Mexico earlier this year. The camera is quite good for a cell phone, and the music player delivers clear sound from mp3 files. The two cons I listed are mostly due to the phone's slim design. A larger 3.5 mm headphone jack and external memory card compartment would have added more depth to the phone's dimensions. It's a more than acceptable trade-off. It's size also precludes a QWERTY keyboard, but I've gotten rather savvy at texting from the numeric keypad which has buttons with a nice feel and tactile response when you hit them. Despite it's thin dimensions, this phone feels SOLID unlike others I've owned. The smooth, shiny front case is a fingerprint magnet, however. The Muse also has a decent vibrate strength (a per peeve of mine since a Motorola I owned previously vibrated so softly I often missed calls). Aftermarket accessories abound on ebay for low prices. Overall, the Muse is the best flip-phone I've owned.
