"Awesome phone with an easy to use qwerty keyboard!!!" on by rainwolfpup

Pros: Good battery life. Easy to navigate and learn the programs on the phone. Easy to transfer your mp3s and photos to from your computer to the phone. No real complaints.

Cons: I really do not have any cons about this phone.

Summary: When I first started to look at the Samsung propel I was afraid to buy another Samsung product. The first Samsung flip phones I had always died and were not reliable. I am glad I went ahead and bought this phone because the battery last the 10 days they say that it can last up to. It beats the Sony phone I got that never held a charge.

If you must get a phone go with the Propel. You will not regret it. I see pepole complain about the battery not lasting long but that depends on how much you use it and what you use. If you do a lot of surfing the web and downloading, playing games, or texting yes the battery may last a couple hours to a day. When I get a low battery with no bar flashing red I can keep it going for over 24 hrs before it finally dies.

I also have not had a problem with the volumes or trying to hear the other person on the other end.

I hope this helps anyone who is debating on a cell phone of any type. If you got burnt before go ahead and give in and buy this phone. You will not regret it.

"Wonderful at first then downhill all the way!" on by hthrleigh

    Pros: Great for texting.

Cons: Poor battery life, very poor signal

Summary: I loved this phone when I first got it. For the first couple of months it was the best phone I had ever had. Then it started going nuts on me. The battery lasts for a day if that. I have no service in my office or at home (worked well and had 3G before). Now I only have service driving down the interstate. ATT put out a service ticket and it still didn't help. The most recent problem is that I have to turn off the phone and on to make phone calls. I would like to say this is just an issue with my phone but my sis and nephew have the same phone and both have the same issues. And one will only work on speaker phone now.

"Another excellent Samsung phone" on by fritchdog

Pros: Sleek, Stylish, Frontal/Upright Qwerty, Tons of custom shortcuts and dedicated keys, very functional keypad with thoughtful layout. Slides for locking and unlocking phone. Very easy menu layout.

Cons: Keys could have better grip and/or be raised slighty more; however, typing is easier than it appears. Really not bad...but keypad is not quite as good as my Moto Q. I'm a guy with average sized hands...bigger hands may wish to Opt for someting else.

Summary: This is a very sleek and stylish frontal/upright Qwerty phone with dedicated keys for silent/vibrate, messaging, camera, and CV Video. Also has MediaNet shortcut PLUS 4 custom shortcuts on the directional pad and a plethora of custom shortcuts from the left soft key. It even has a button on the right hand side that provides additional (none custom) shortcuts.

Overall I feel this phone is very well thought out and innovative, in that it is the first Upright QWERTY keypad that slides and is NOT a PDA. I previously used the Motorola Q because I like the Frontal/Upright Qwerty for one hand texting as oppose to the common, on the side keypads that require two hands. Finally, a non-PDA phone with an upright QWERTY keypad...and it slides. Hooray!

Cons: the call quality stinks and you can never get service . when u try to send a message it will send it two or three times . when i am standing right in the middle of my yard i cant get service

Summary: the bottom line is i would not recommend this phone to anyone if you talk on the phone alot and you an never get service to text either

"Loved it...at first. But then it STUNK!" on by stacyelaines

Pros: Great for texting, and really cute.

Cons: I got this phone and loved it..a couple months later, it went haywire. I had terrible.NO reception, even in places I SHOULD have great reception. I had it replaced (under manufacturers warranty) and the new one worked great...for a couple of months.

Summary: Now I'm looking for a different phone and hope that Samsung will hook me up with something ELSE as a replacement, since this phone has gone nutty on me TWICE now. This is a very visually appealing phone, and is great for texting. However, if they all go haywire after a couple months, it's kind of pointless! Also, I didn't know if this was just a problem for me, and then I read some reviews where the same issue was happening to others as well.
