"Almost ideal" on by nythinker
Pros: Its size, its slide out QWERTY keyboard, the adequate scren size, the speakerphone, its sensitivity.
Cons: Short battery life, slowness when internet browsing and picture sending
Summary: The main reason I got this phone, and switched to Metro PCS was the poor quality of AT & T's phone, specifically the poor reception I often had, making it annoying to have a conversation. I purchased a Blackjack II from AT & T, and when I have 1 bar on the Blackjack II, I wil have 4 bars on the Samsung R450.
It is a pleasure using the texting feature on the R-450, compared to the discomfort using the Blackjack II; the keyboard on the R-450 is so much easier to use, less crowded than the .
As much as I dislike it, I will have to use (and pay the monthly charge) the Blackjack II until 10/2010 when the A T & T contract ends, and I also intend to keep the R-450. Just by looking at the phones, the Blackjack II looks better, but this beauty is only skin deep. -

"Three words: Finger Print Magnet!" on by OneSweetTrio
Pros: I am more than satisfied with the phone. It has all the features I need in a phone (ie Internet, camera, Mp3 player, full Qwerty and the freedom of the MetroPCS "no-contract" unlimited-minutes-deal...hate to sound like a commercial but its true!)
Cons: The phone is great BUT it collects fingerprints like nobody's business!!! I know that is a small thing but I've developed a serious case of OCD because of it...(I'm only partly joking!).
Summary: Internet, camera, Mp3 player, full Qwerty and MetroPCS...what more could I ask for? Not much! It may not be a Blackberry but if you want cool features for a decent price...this is it.
