"A lot to improve on for speaker-phone department..."
2.0 starson by jdmooney69Pros: Decent battery life,
Small hands may not have a problem on long conversations,
Interface for micro-SD chip is very usefulCons: Sounds very tinny on speaker-phone and I get a headache,
Non-standard audio plug for headphones, Samsung just bite the bullet and use a 3.5mm plug;
limited after-market accessories-carrying cases, desktop chargers/speaker phones,
Allow access to AppsSummary: THis phone now belongs to my wife as she is a classic "technophobe" living in the 50's tonight. She is very adverse to the touchscreen units, Blackberry's are worse as the keys are the size of a pin head. Her emphasis is not on social media-just rock solid communication that is there when you need it. Family is dying off and daughters are out with their own lives.
When I was working as a Field Project Engineer, this phone was common among my colleagues where the PTT AND cell phone features offered "get it done now!" assurances. THere is still a market for non-touchscreen phones, perhaps for seasoned citizens but as long as the exterior is not intimidating, the "innards" don't matter.
