"Does exactly what it's supposed to" on by _shift
Pros: Sturdy, loud as hell speaker phone, very nice internal display, buttons feel nice.
Cons: large? Not a problem for me, i was looking for a nice sturdy phone.
Summary: I'm sick of getting pretty phones that get destroyed within a year of using them. If you are complaining that this phone is large or clunky, then you should not have purchased it. This phone is built to military specifications...tough, water proof, shock and temperature resistant. If you wanted something thin and stylish you should have gotten a razr. Personally I love this phone, its basic, sturdy, and nice.

"Phones work well - but has problem with hinge breakage" on by rivenfan
Pros: pics good, works well for our purposes
Cons: I have 30 of these for our business and to date I have 4 that the hinge has broken on the right side. ATT says there are no service bulletins pertiaining to this.
Summary: Overall a good phone, but if they continuw to break in this fasion, a major disappointment. We bought this model because of its reported ruggedness.

"Hi hopes but been very disappointed" on by msmunro
Pros: tough, good vis and buttons handy
Cons: Bad reception in marginal areas. Other AT&T phones work rugby does not.
Battery life less than two days at standby with no use.
audio quality poorSummary: See above.
Been on the phone over 8 hours with AT&T trying to resolve issues. People nice but no resolution. AT&T would not exchange for other phone. I will have to sell this rugby on my own and purchase new at full retail rate not the discounted new plan rate.
warrenty department offered to exchange but only identical make and model, and at that they would be send me a "refurbished" phone not a new one. I have been forced to maintain two phone plans because of this while I am working in this area (Utah). Horizon is my other phone with a four year old nokia. It works fine. -
"often works; not a great phone" on by my_download.com
Pros: often works
Cons: not a great phone
at&tSummary: often goes into "Emergency calls only" mode which requires power cycling
nothing to get excited about; does function as a phone with various capabilities -
"This is not a rugged phone. Cheaply made." on by mbtbd
Pros: Big buttons for those without little lady fingers
Cons: Cheap plastic charger port cover that never stays in place -- this problem from almost new. Without this cover in place (which in theory would keep out water/dirt), don't know how it can be called rugged.
Summary: Don't get it -- it is not rugged, it just looks the part. My motorola razor was much more rugged. Before you get it -- just check out the charger port cover and you will see what I am talking about. If you are fine with a phone with a little plastic bit always dangling at the side, it may be O.K. But then you might as well go for something cheaper. Also, sound and ring quality are not very good. Battery life also not very long (compared to a razor). Stay away, or at least just check out one first -- don't rely on the reviews here -- I simply don't understand those praising it could overlook the cheap plastic charger port cover that will not stay in place.
