"disappointing"
1.5 starson by raphusPros: small and slim, start and end calls with open and close, cheap
Cons: poor battery life, annoying menus, weak vibration, no mac support
Summary: I wanted a slim, basic phone that would be easy to use and would sync with my Mac. The U-340 didn't really come through. It's battery life is terrible, and I talked to another user who said the same thing. I don't talk on the phone all that much, and the charge still sometimes doesn't last through a whole day. I had to buy a second charger to keep at work. The menus and UI are annoying: a thick white bar appears at the top of photos when used as wallpaper, another blue bar appears at the bottom just to show the vibrate icon when the volume is set to vibrate only, etc. The wallpaper picture becomes almost unviewable. My old LG had a tiny icon when set to vibrate, and the icon appeared in the empty space next to the other icons (battery and reception indicators, etc.). And I hardly ever use vibrate mode anymore, since the vibration is so weak that I usually can't feel it in my front pants pocket. That means that I have to constantly remember to turn off the phone when I don't want to be interrupted, and I sometimes forget, so the phone goes off in meetings, etc., more than my old phone did. These are serious annoyances. The small size is great for carrying in a pocket, but the battery life and lack of mac syncronization are deal killers. I'm selling it on eBay and getting something with a battery will last all day and that I can import phone numbers into from my Mac.

I agree that this phone is poor. I have already taken the phone back for a replacement battery to see if that would work and it didn't. I rarely use the phone so I would expect it to last longer. Plus, when the battery is low it just shuts off the phone. On my last phone I at least heard low battery beeps. The phone is going back to Verizon.
