"It Does Have a Memory Card Slot!!!"
Pros: Slim, Stylish, Display Options, 8GB MicroSDHC Slot, Stereo Bluetooth
Cons: Buttons take some getting used to, not QVGA, no flash wallpaper
Summary: CNet's review seems to have been done in haste, and hasn't given this phone it's due look. It clearly has a microSD slot on the side of the phone that is hidden by the battery cover. It is actually quite a good idea, because it leaves the side of the phone looking less junked up. The cover isn't hard to get take off, either, like the reviewer states. Both displays are better than my old LG VX8300, but they probably aren't standard for today's new hotness. The bronze color contrasts very well with the blue mirror finish, and makes for a stylish design, in my opinion. There are a multitude of a display options, compared to my last phone, including VZ Navigator already installed, and voice read-out of menus and text messages. I will agree that the camera is sub-par, but for the price, you really have to be aware that you aren't paying for top-notch quality.
The U550 is, in my opinion, VZW's top mid-range phone in their current lineup. Anyone looking for a new, feature-laden phone, without breaking the bank, should look its way.
