"First VZW phone I didn't hate" on by Ugh101

Pros: Thin, fits eazily in pocket, decent battery life, fits nicely on the ear

Cons: Not easy to dial a number that isn't already stored in your contacts b/c the buttons are small and crowded.

Summary: I definitely like this phone. A few things to note though are 1) it doesn't have a jack for a wired headset unless you plug in an adapter. So it's really for bluetooth headsets which I find buggy. 2) The buttons on this thing are about 1/2 the size of buttons on most phones. In addition, the button has a number, the abc for texting in the top open mode, and a larger letter for texting in the QWERTY mode. It would have been helpful if the numbers illuminated in a different color than the letters b/c dialing requires some dexterity, although I'm getting used to it. I suggest anybody with bad vision or thick fingers not buy this phone without test driving it first.

"Great, Slim, Sexy Phone" on by castlepark06

Pros: Thin (Razor-Like), User-Friendly, Vivid Screen, Clear Speakers, Good Battery Life

Cons: Keypad is small at times, and seems fragil at times

Summary: This is a great phone and is a great txt messaging device. It is really thin and looks sharp. I was going to get the LG-ENV but after seeing this phone, and comparing the features this phone won my bid. It is much smaller and portable. It has a great camera and i was surprised at the video quality. The phone also has a great amount of memory and can take up to 600 VGA quality Photos or up to 300 1.3MP pics. I was astonished at how well VZ Navigator works on this phone. The download speeds are quick and so far no problems at all. I got it for $99 at verizonwireless.com and got another one for free! Anyone interested should definately buy it, especially if you send many messages!

"Best Verizon Phone on the Market" on by ssavoy0329

Pros: Clear voice quality, Touch music controls, camera (videos too), SD Micro Card Slot...

Cons: Front screen shuts off fast, phone doesn't hang up when shut closed

Summary: This is by far my favorite Verizon phone. Besides a few downsides, the Pros outnumber and "outscore" the Cons by a lot. I will start with the Cons and get them out of the way...
    1) Front Screen: The Screens are excellent quality, however the front screen shuts of fast, and holding in a button for about 3 seconds will light it up. I would prefer it to turn off after a minute or so (some may find this annoying). This isn't major.

2). Hang Up: One thing you will have to get used to is that the phone does not usually hang up when closed from the normal mode. It expects you to flip it open the other way to listen to your call on speakerphone (again, not major, just different).

    3) Another small thing: I was playing with it, and I turned on the standalone mode (shuts off Wireless). I turned it back on after a minute. A while later I closed the phone, and the front screen had the "Wireless Mode OFF" stamped over the signal strength. This doesn't bother me but shows that the software it runs on may be a little buggy. No biggy.

    4) The biggest and really only the major problem I have is that it is not compatable with many OS's. It only seems to work with Windows XP. I would also expect it to work with the increasingly popular Mac OS X, but no...Verizon problem..I think..
    _______________
    The Pros:

    1) Excellent sound quality: This is to be expected from a music/Vcast capable phone.

2). Touch music controls on the front.

    3) Easy to read front screen.

    4) Fast (Mobile Web and other apps load very fast compared to other Verizon phones).

    5) EVDO/Vcast: EVDO (high speed data) and Vcast capable.

    6) Video Messaging (and other standard messaging): Its a great plus to be able to send or receive videos from your friends.

    7) Full QWERTY keyboard.

    8) Bluetooth: Can transfer contacts to my MacBook easily. (can't transfer files but that's Verizon's fault....not the phones so just be aware of that).

    9) 50-60 MB of internal memory. You can purchase a Micro SD memory card for the phone too.

I was also very happy with Verizon tech support as they didn't even tell me they transferred my contacts (they didn't even charge me) from my old phone so when I dialed a common number I was surprised to see it came up as Home.

"Great phone, glad i chose over the env......." on by paul_lunsford

Pros: Easy texting, feels good in your hand, does everything you need and more,

Cons: Its kinda inconvenient to hit the p key when your texting cause the phone has a small hump for that keeps the main screen from rubbing the handset

Summary: Overall i love the phone and i feel i got my moneys worth. I give it a 9 out of ten because i couldnt give it a 9.8. Other than the P difficulty i like the hardware.... I mean how many times do you text someone "Peter Piper Picked Plenty of Pickled Peppers"....etc........ Another thing that i noticed is that i cant zoom in on my pics when i try to view them... they are almost in a thumbnail view and when i view them they barely increase... maybe im just missing something... now about the good.... I really like the qwerty keyboard and the fact this thing is the size of a razor... i always keep my phone in my front pocket of my pants... the env would have been extremely uncomfortable.. in the "expert" reviews they seem to mention that the phone is complicated and strange to use... i disagree, everytime i get a new phone it always takes some adjusting and time to get used to it... I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a sleak small phone that ever texts.

"The Swiss Army Phone!!!" on by WFP1

Pros: good camera, QWERTY keyboard, good call quality, nice sound, and a very nice price tag

Cons: smaller buttons than normal with an unusual layout,

Summary: the feature set of this phone is very impressive considering what you pay for it. the camera is not great but it still takes very solid pictures compared to other phones. the reception quality is very good as well. the stereo speakers do a nice job of sounding good without being too tinny. having a full QWERTY keyboard is very nice not only for texting but also for entering information into the phone such as contacts, appointments, or notes.

there isnt much that this phone doesn't do. music player (which i haven't had a chance to use yet), bluetooth capabilities, expansion slot for micro-sd!

There are drawbacks to this phone as well but they are far outweighed by the benefits. first the buttons are smalle than normal and take some getting use to. the layout of the keys is slightly diferent than other phones but this is very minor inconvenience at most.

all in all this phone has everything i could ever want or need and it does it all well. it is a solid option for anyone who wants their phone to do a plethora of tasks and do them well.
