"Best Verizon Phone on the Market"
Pros: Clear voice quality, Touch music controls, camera (videos too), SD Micro Card Slot...
Cons: Front screen shuts off fast, phone doesn't hang up when shut closed
Summary: This is by far my favorite Verizon phone. Besides a few downsides, the Pros outnumber and "outscore" the Cons by a lot. I will start with the Cons and get them out of the way...
1) Front Screen: The Screens are excellent quality, however the front screen shuts of fast, and holding in a button for about 3 seconds will light it up. I would prefer it to turn off after a minute or so (some may find this annoying). This isn't major.
2). Hang Up: One thing you will have to get used to is that the phone does not usually hang up when closed from the normal mode. It expects you to flip it open the other way to listen to your call on speakerphone (again, not major, just different).
3) Another small thing: I was playing with it, and I turned on the standalone mode (shuts off Wireless). I turned it back on after a minute. A while later I closed the phone, and the front screen had the "Wireless Mode OFF" stamped over the signal strength. This doesn't bother me but shows that the software it runs on may be a little buggy. No biggy.
4) The biggest and really only the major problem I have is that it is not compatable with many OS's. It only seems to work with Windows XP. I would also expect it to work with the increasingly popular Mac OS X, but no...Verizon problem..I think..
_______________
The Pros:
1) Excellent sound quality: This is to be expected from a music/Vcast capable phone.
2). Touch music controls on the front.
3) Easy to read front screen.
4) Fast (Mobile Web and other apps load very fast compared to other Verizon phones).
5) EVDO/Vcast: EVDO (high speed data) and Vcast capable.
6) Video Messaging (and other standard messaging): Its a great plus to be able to send or receive videos from your friends.
7) Full QWERTY keyboard.
8) Bluetooth: Can transfer contacts to my MacBook easily. (can't transfer files but that's Verizon's fault....not the phones so just be aware of that).
9) 50-60 MB of internal memory. You can purchase a Micro SD memory card for the phone too.
I was also very happy with Verizon tech support as they didn't even tell me they transferred my contacts (they didn't even charge me) from my old phone so when I dialed a common number I was surprised to see it came up as Home.
