The Bottom Line Though the speakerphone didn't quite measure up, the Samsung SGH-A117 is a solid choice for a prepaid AT&T Go phone. If you can live with its variable call quality, the Samsung SGH-A177 is a functional and easy-to-use texting phone. It's affordable and it doesn't require a contract. Despite a few quirks, the LG Neon is a good simple messaging phone from AT&T. The Samsung SGH-A167 won't stand out beyond its royal blue color. Call quality is acceptable, but it's not for heavy callers. The Samsung SGH-A237 offers a bit of style, but ultimately there's not much to distinguish it from the cell phone crowd.
