Summary: I had the phone for a month now, as a phone it is great. Speaker phone is fine, speed dialing is as expected, the voice command is GREAT, I never had that before and it makes the phone really hands free! It has all the gadets I would want (mind you I do not need a lot). As a phone to make calls, this is fine. Take some time, play with the setup menus.. it does what you want it to.
My only two and a half problems are: 1) the volume does not get loud enough for the earpiece or for the ringer. I have been outside and I just do not hear the phone ringing (or feal the vibration) in my pocket. This was not a problem with my other 3 phones over the last 5 years, they all had the option for "extra loud" or the like. 2) I keep the phone in my pocket, and sometimes it takes a picture of the inside of my pocket or the voicecommand will turn on if the buttons are pushed in my pocket... that's a bit eriee... The 1/2 problem is that the data cable is $50 to download photos.. That is a bit much, but I am cheep. These are not big issues, perhaps I just need a belt clip and head phone.. -

Cons: Low ringer sound and barely can hear caller on other end
Summary: It's a real shame, because it's a nice looking phone, strong sturdy not cheap looking at all, but there is a lot of static and echo in the background...

Pros: Small, well thought out unit.
Cons: Some minor glitches.
Summary: I've had this phone for almost a month. I think if you keep in perspective what you paid for this phone you get some nice features.
A few people don't like the external display, but I really don't know what you expect out of a postage stamp sized display. It does dim out to save power but you can press an external button and it illuminates. All I really need to see from the outside is the time, battery charge and who is calling. It does that. So it's monochrome.. it's not a HDTV.
There is a difference between what you can do with SIM card addresses and the addresses you save in the phone. This is a drawback. For the few people I have that I want to be able do use the more advanced address book feature I put an entry in each location. If you have hundreds of friends get a different phone, or hire a social secretary.
There is a glitch when you insert a non standard character in a text message. The cursor goes to the beginning of the message. Usually two pushes on the rocker pad gets you back to the end.
The camera is only marginally useful. It's good enough to take a picture of that really fat lady at the train station to show your wife, but not much more. Your subject needs to be close and well lit. Personally I've always thought the idea of putting a camera in a phone is weird. Why not a nostril hair trimmer or a hole punch?
What I like best is it's small size and the battery life.
I think for the average joe this is a very nice phone. -

Cons: Sometimes video camera stops on mine, external lcd screen dosen't stay lit long enought
Summary: This phone is no comparison to my old phone! It has a very nice looking screen, it takes awesome pics! and is has nice features like voice command. I like the whole feel to the phone, and the genearl set up of it. The only thing that i would change is either have a color external lcd screen or beable to change the time the backlight on it stays on, other than that i love mine!

Summary: This is a serviceable phone in the sense that yes, it does make phone calls. In fact, this phone will even make phone calls from your pocket. In my first week of owning it, my pocket has made several phone calls; the buttons on the outside of the phone can bring up a list of your recent calls and redial them on speaker phone. Which might [in a bizarre alternate dimension] be a useful thing, but the designers didn't do a particularly good job of making sure that my thigh couldn't place phone calls when I'm walking.
Things don't improve much when you open the phone up either. Every other phone that I've used assigns one softkey to the menu and the second to your phone book. You know, so you can make phone calls on your telephone. The designers here assigned the second soft key to IM rather than my phone book and there doesn't seem to be any way of changing that. Because, you know, typing instant messages for a couple of cents per message on my cell phone is totally why I bought it.
Very little about this phone is customizable and navigating the menus is an exercise in pain. It'll make you want to punch someone. For example, say you've just took a great picture and you'd like to share it with a friend. Once you find the correct section of the clunky menu system, you'll need to skip over the "Shop for graphics" and "Download graphics", both of which cost money of course, before you can look at your own picture. It's as if the UI was designed by a tele-marketer collaborating with a chimp.
Another example: Say I want to delete all of my photos. You'd expect there to be a select all option or something. I first select a single photo, choose delete, choose "All". This doesn't select all photos, it creates a pseudo-photo titled "all" that you can click on to select everything. But there is no delete option visible. You have to pick "Options", which pops up a few checkboxes for things like making the photo read only. To actually delete the photos, you have to ignore the checkboxes and notice that one of the softkeys has become "delete". Oh... And delete takes out the photos you've marked as protected. I don't know what you were protecting them from, but it wasn't being deleted.
