"Had for almost five years and NO problems!" on by PrincessLily8402
Pros: Nice, tiny phone. Has very good call quality and hardly ever drops calls. I love the call waiting and conference call features. This phone has lots of funny ring tones and a great menu display. Has a clear front display and is very durable.
Cons: After five years, my only complaints are that it does not have a camera or speakerphone.
Summary: Overall, for almost five years, this phone has been good to me. It stood up to me occasionally dropping it. I still love this phone, but it's now time for an upgrade! Whatever price the S307 is going for now, it is worth it as a nice starter phone.

"terrible performance after 2 years" on by savvvyyy
Pros: small size,color screen
Cons: poor performance,
Summary: I've had SGH-S307 for more than 2 years now. This phone had an OK performance with few dropped calls for the first two years.
Shortly after two years the performance dropped down exponentially after two years passed. The calls drop twice in each phone call on average. If you wanna call someone, it looks like it is calling, then it gives you a "call ended" message, this happens 3-4 times for each phone call you make. You receive text messages from days before. In two occasions I received the same text message 14 times in row with 5 second intervals.
The other cons would be that you can not use the alarm if you turn off the phone. The processor is also extremely slow. you have to wait quite fews seconds to delete something or for a menu to come up. It has been like this since day 1.
I do not recommend this phone if you are planning on using it for more than two years. -
"Great Phone w/o all the Bells & Whistles" on by pnwtransplant
Pros: Small size; just a phone (e.g. doesn't do dishes, etc.)
Cons: None (save w/ my carrier, but rules are rules).
Summary: This has been a great phone for me. I bought it in 2003 and would buy it all over again if I had the chance. It's a small, simple phone -- I don't need a camera, PTT, etc.; it does exactly what I need. I've actually had the web disabled and wish I could do the same w/ the text messaging (why do people want to send an email to your phone?!), but my carrier has certain rules about how they do business -- their prerogative.
All in all, I've been very happy with my purchase and am sad the only place I can find it is on eBay, but such is life.
If you want just a plain, old-fashioned cell phone this would be a sure bet. The only vague drawback I've encountered is that it's so small, every once and a while I lose track of where it is (so, I call it -- unless it's on vibrate, and then the fun begins). -
"Great phone!" on by nmz7
Pros: durable, small, with normal usage has long battery life
Cons: no camera, internet drains battery very quickly
Summary: This is a great phone overall. It's one of the smallest I've ever seen and I have only had a few little problems with it in the 2 years I've had it. It's really tough too, it's been dropped numerous times, been fully submerged three times (once in a toilet) and almost works just as well as the day I bought it. Occasionally (about once a month) the front screen will change to almost one color and it's a little hard to read but that goes away within a minute, could be a result of the abuse. Overall great phone, I always get comments on that's a cool phone or stuff like that since it's so tiny, I recommend it.

"love this phone!!!" on by gdgtlover
Pros: everything you PRACTICALLY need in a compact
Cons: no cam, no video, text msging is kinda tricky
Summary: i love this phone simply because it's well SIMPLE. nothing too special, but it just performs the basic features of a cellphone. it's really small (one of the smallest cellphones on the market) so it's easy to put it in your pocket without leaving a big bulge in front. It's also pretty cool looking if you have the belt clip. speaker volume is good (but better if you have a headset with a boom mic). However if you are into all the camera, video, mp3, bluetooth...etc etc etc, then this is not the phone for you.
