"Great phone ...for the price" on by divuer
Pros: Compact and clean design
Cons: None so far
Summary: Picked up the Samsung SGH-T219 last week for my wife and for a basic phone it performs quite well. It does not have any of the bells and whistles that are popular now days so if you're interested in having a camera and/or MP3 player as part of your phone, look elsewhere. In my case the request was for a plain, simple and compact phone.
Voice quality is above average when compared with previous phones I've owned including my current Blackberry 7100i and the display is quite nice. Let's see how it holds up during extended use. For now, I strongly recommended for anyone looking for a straight forward unit. -
"A relic that just won't die" on by symplsymon
Pros: Makes calls
Recieves calls
Text in and out always reliably
Will not break or fail due to age or abuse
Turned on 24 hrs. day for 4 years - same battery
speaks dialed digits - great for multitaskingCons: No input capability for tones, files, bulk addresses etc
Color choices only Red or Brown.Summary: IThis old timer is a travel backup phone. It has survived road warrior mistreatment and just won't quit. All it does well is make and recieve calls and text but it does those things very well. It meets the old engineer's axiom "cheap, simple, works good and lasts a long time". I am just writing this as a testimonial to Samsung and it's quality. Rated three star because newer phones are so many light years ahead in capabilitiy and function.

"Very small size, nice keypad/navigation, nice design" on by Jitschner
Pros: 1) strong hinge mechanism, smooth fluid motion
2) you can flip it open with your chin if you have only one hand because of the design of the flip
3) I thought the ringtones sounded fine...
4) great battery life
5) Efficient outer screenCons: 1) not many options available, but didn't really matter since I didn't have texting
2) some navigation lag, not oftenSummary: A great phone if you don't want to break the bank to buy a cell phone. I think sound quality was fine despite what Cnet says. If you want a phone that looks great, has usable battery life, and you'll be mainly making calls, this is the phone for you.

"My phone was free, but that's about all it's worth!" on by loveceltics9
Pros: I like it's look, and the voice notes, and the attractive design of the product.
Cons: My phone turns off by itself and freezes often. Also, it is difficult to hear the other person on the other line too.
Summary: For a free phone, I can't complain, but it is disappointing that I've only had the phone for 7 months and it's breaking down on me.
