"A good phone to use as a phone"
Pros: Good voice quality and a speakerphone loud enough to be heard in noisy environments. Good reception even in fringe areas with 1 bar or less. Haven't dropped a call yet (which I can't say for several previous phones on various different networks).
Cons: Coming from a series of phones by another manufacturer, the menus took a bit of getting used to. The camera is not the best but will do to take pictures of the fender bender you just had because you were distracted by talking on your phone.
Summary: Reviews these days seem to concentrate on which of the latest gizmos are included in a particular phone's feature set. Let's not lose track of the fact that this is a phone primarily to make voice calls. Yes, you can text with it, play games etc. but that's not its primary purpose. As an inexpensive, quality handset for making and receiving voice calls, this unit is difficult to beat.
The display may not be the largest, but it is large enough and contrasty enough that you can actually see the numbers you are dialing even in bright sunlight.
I tend to use this phone a lot in the server room (with racks of equipment roaring in my ear) and the volume on the speakerphone still makes my caller quite intelligible.
The combination of a contrasty and legible display, a speakerphone capable of being heard in high noise environments and the sensitivity to send and receive calls in fringe reception areas make this phone a winner in my book.
