"This phone is just fine. Good for starters."
Pros: Sound quality is good.
Bluetooth works just fine when answering phone calls.
I like that I can use the keypad to browse to the menus.
I like the color and the keypad.
takes 2G microSD cardsCons: MEDIA PLAYER cannot run minimized, you cannot sort the songs, cannot play music on mono bluetooths.
Summary: The Good:
Still camera -> your target has to hold really still
It does warm up a little bit while charging the battery.
Unable to customize navigation keys.
The functionalities of a cellphone (making calls, answering calls, texting, voice mail, saving contacts) are good. The look and feel is also good. It feels good in your hand. I like the fact that I can navigate the menu with the keypad. On some other phones you have to use the navigation keys only. The bluetooth functionality is good, when making outbound/inbound calls. The same when transferring files from phone to phone via bluetooth.
Speaker phone is acceptable. The same when listening to music. I like the "airplane" mode option while on board of an aircraft.
WI-FI is good, though I haven't been able to test it yet.
The Bad
MUSIC PLAYER
-You cannot run it in minimized mode. So if you get out of the Music Player, you stop listening to music.
-You can only use 10 pre-set playlists. You cannot add anymore (I haven't been able to figure out how to add more). If you name your files say, "01-song01.mp3", it will sort them from high to low in the playlist. If you add the files manually, then you can have them in the order you want (what a hassle).
-You cannot play music on your mono bluetooth, the device will only recognize stereo bluetooth to play your music there.
It will not display the mp3 tag information, just the file name (say 01 - my song.mp3).
ALARM
When the phone is in vibration mode, it will still play the alarm melody. I would prefer the phone to vibrate only.
CAMERA
The picture quality is acceptable for a cellphone. However, make sure your subject doesn't move when taking a picture. If your subject moves, the picture will look fuzzy. Also, there's a delay when taking the picture. You would think that the picture was taken, but it was not. So your subject better no move.
BATTERY COVER
It is a hassle to remove the battery cover. Sometimes you think that you kind of broke it.
It is a hassle to remove the SIM card. Do I have to use plyers to do this?
DISPLAY SETTINGS
Unable to configure screen savers
Unable to configure external display either.
I'll be posting some more reviews for this phone so you can decide whether this device is for you or not. Stay tuned. (3 stars).
