"just one problem" on by leckyb1
Pros: I love this phone. It is durable, light, easy to use, and has a lot of great features. I even love the partial keyboard. Texting is easy, sound quality is good... all around excellent.
Cons: Although I love the easiness with the keypad, my problem comes when I try to dial a number with letters in it (like 1 800 discover) If you do not have the normal dialing keypad memorized when dialing, it is nearly impossible to call.
Summary: All around, I like it. I hear others have the same complaint about the blackberry pearl. I am always impressed with the samsung phones, and this one is no different

"very good phone" on by silence82
Pros: call quality, battery life, easy menu, email, easy texting (for the most part), the partial keyboard grows on you.
Cons: texting contractions such as I'll, don't, etc is too much work. Can't personalize shortcuts
Summary: I really like this phone. I use the phone alot. I send and receive alot of emails, I use the web2go feature on this thing quite often, I use the music player for about an hour a day and I'm on the phone 2 to 3 hours every other evening. With all of that, the battery still has 3 bars out of 5. As a full-time student and full-time employee, this phone is perfect for me. I tend to use the notepad, calender, and the timer alot. For classes, the calculator is a great help because it has many of the same functions as a scientific calculator. I usually perfer flip phones, but this one has grown on me. I'm hoping to keep this phone for a long time.
I'm still using this phone. I went to Spain recently and the phone sounds just as good as when I'm here in New York. To use the phone overseas, you have to call T-Mobile and tell them you want to make it an international device (that service is free) This is one of the lowest priced phones I've ever had, and I'm happier with this phone than I have been with any other.
My major complaint is when I'm texting people and I have to go through so much just to put in contractions, but it's not really a big deal.

Updated on May 15, 2010I am still using this phone, and I'm still very happy with it. All the good things I mentioned in my original review still apply today and I've have this phone for almost a year now. My original complaints about the contractions and the shortcuts don't even bother me as much now. -
"Just about perfect! Great email feature, music player" on by daisy-kj
Pros: 1) Email very easy to set up several accts!
2) Wonderful Music player, great sound!
3) Partial QWERTY keyboard easy to use.
4) Large and bright screen, text and browswer easy to read!
5) Very user friendly phone, I learned this phone in 1 hour!Cons: The only 2 cons that I can think of are:
1) No FM radio
2) Not a world phone, can only use this phone in the United States.
*My true rating is 4.6 as I took off .2 points for each of these items, hence a score of 4.6 from me.Summary: The main reason I purchased this phone is I switched after 4 years from a Razr V3 and to me, this is a major upgrade.
The reason that I stated that this is not a WORLD phone is because it has 3 bands not four and also note that is is NOT 3G. However, this is a HIGH END ENTRY LEVEL PHONE suitable for basic emails and texting. It was designed to be easy to use and for people that just need the basic features. It does not have Wi-Fi or a FM radio, two drawbacks that I do not like, however, the SUPERB calling quality, texting and email functions along with the simple to use MP3 player are just perfect for the casual cell phone everyday user! I highly recommend this phone as a HIGH QUALITY BASIC and EASY TO USE CELL PHONE!
Reasons I truly love this phone and bought it are:
1) Has partial qwerty keyboard. This makes it so easy to text and find keys, numbers.
2) Music player! This is a must for me!
3) Email (very easy to set-up and can set-up several email accounts).
4) Camera takes great pictures for a camera/phone. And easy to send to email, other phone, message, or picture postcard (I love the picture postcard).
5) Phone is built very solid and very attractive, thank you Samsung!
6) Phone has 3 alarms! How handy is that!
7) Calendar is so easy to add appointments, to do lists and they will send you an alarm. A must for me as I need to keep organized!
SUMMARY: This phone to me is just right! Love it and highly recommend this phone!

"This phone is over all: GREAT! especially for texting!" on by lluvphones
Pros: Texting, getting used to the keyboard is easy. Camera. Circle Menu. Speakers. Call quality. Buttons have good feel to them. New Wallpapers. Better graphics. Records up to fifteen minutes instead of just one minute. Designated Messaging Key. Xt9.
Cons: There are no cons. Everything about it is amazing!
Summary: I love this phone! Everyone says it takes a while to get used to the keyboard. If by a while they mean less than an hour with the phone, then they are right! The sure type keyboard discourages buyers, when it should encourage them! It looks hard to text on but it is the easiest thing, especially with the new T9 program! The camera is great, everything about it is great, it even gets email! But I would have to say texting is the best part of this phone. I thought it would be a little hard, but it is easier than a full qwerty keyboard and easier than a usuall keyboard. it is the perfect thing for texting. would I recomend this phone? Of course! YOU HAVE TO GET IT! it's like a better version of the gravity, in candy bar form, with a better keyboard, and cuter colors! GET THIS PHONE! (:

"Looks Great, but..." on by stevenheimer23
Pros: Great Internet, Great Texting
Cons: When it is Very Hot outside, the Speaker Woofer gets blown, so you will have to use the Ear Piece to talk on ton, and listen to your call...otherwise, it sounds (when you are listening to the caller) all Distorted.
