The Bottom Line Despite a couple of design misfires, the Samsung SGH-X497 is a good starter cell phone with solid call quality. Though the speakerphone didn't quite measure up, the Samsung SGH-A117 is a solid choice for a prepaid AT&T Go phone. The original thin phone, the Motorola Razr V3 has a sexy design and useful features, but its performance isn't always up to par. The LG CG225 is neither terrible nor remarkable, but better midrange handsets are in Cingular's lineup. The Samsung SGH-A437 offers some decent features, but both its controls and its call quality are disappointing.
