"I am amaze of these blind reviews. I can't believe Samsung release his phone for sale!"
Pros: Large Fonts makes easy to read . Good looking. G3
Cons: This phone has no bluetooth, not USB port, and an ifrared port that is not functional. Software donwloaded from Samsung.com is not working. Tere is not way to communicate phone with your PC.
Summary: This week, I exchanged my Sony Ericsson W600i for a Samsung ZX10 because the fonts in the W600i were too small and unreadable. But I chose the Samsung ZX10 because I read the good reviews in CNET.com, and I am very disappointed. I feel I was misled. The earpiece in the Samsung ZX10 has literally not volume. I cannot hear a normal conversation. I need to ask people to raise their voices all the time. They have to scream in order for me to hear them. This never happened to me in any Samsung phones I had before. I went to Cingular, and they said did not have cables for this phone yet, so they sent me to Radio Shack, and Radio Shack sent me to Best Buy, Best Buy sent me to Fry's Electronics. Wow! Nobody know how to make it work. A nice guy in Cingular suggested me to call Samsung. So, I called Samsung tech support on 6/15/2006 AM, and they acknowledged that presently the USB cable is not even in production, and have not idea of when it might be available. Also they acknowledge that the software has not been tested and that it will not work with the phone. Of course! When you launch the Samsung PC Studio 3 software in your laptop, it ask you how you are going to connect to the phone, then you have three options: 1)USB 2) Bluetooth 3)Infrared. It's so funny, that the phone has no USB connection, and there is not USB cable in production. The phone has not Bluetooth capabilities; and tech support said that the Infrared is not going to work. Then, I was told that the Samsung PC Studio 3 software designed for this phone, was posted on the website by mistake. Later when I was passed to speak to a supervisor, he said that the page where I downloaded the software, was not meant for the USA, but I came to this page (http://www.samsung.com/Products/MobilePhones/Cingular/SGH_ZX10IBACIN.asp) entering the samsungusa.com site. Is not this amazing that such a big company would release a phone to the market barefooted. I am puzzled, and disappointed, since I have used Samsung phones for the last ten years. Now, If you know something more about the Samsung ZX10 that I don't, please let me know. But this has been my awful negative experience about the Samsung ZX10. So when you make the reviews, we must truly test all features and tell the truth that there is not cable to connect to your PC, and that the Infrared connectivity is unusable, and that the software to manage your phone content, is not functional, and there might be a USB cable and a working software available in the future, but there Samsung does not know when. Did I made a mistake by exchanging my Sony Ericsson W600i for the super promoted G3 Samsung ZX10? Yes. The fonts in the Sony Ericsson W600i were too small, but the phone came with all cables, Software in CD, and everything worked. Now, I am back to square one, and need to get my money back one way or another. I will write a letter to the CEO of Samsung.
My recommendation? Do not buy Samsung ZX10.

To be fair. Sony-Ericsson Phones were easiest to use with all information provided. The charaters of Sony-Ericsson can be adjusted so it will not be a problem and sound in Sony-Ericsson was the best among the small cell phones can play video and music. Samsung was also a great phone but somehow they want to compete with other Brand so they have gone too fast. The reason Mr. Moyano felt into this issue because too many user complianed about the bluetooth, so instead of making the accessories for zx10, they are making newer model: a zx20 with more feature, of course bluetooth is included and all software and cable needed. That way they will save more money in manufacturing instead on spending money to keep zx10 alive. But I just buy a zx10 because learned the trick, the bad one is not always the worse and I know th eway to transfer all info form pc tho zx10 without any need of cable, infared or bluetooth connection. YOU JUST PLUG THE TRANSFLASH CARD INTO THE SLOT. IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CREATE SEVERAL FOLDERS AND READY FOR YOU TO TRANSFER FILES. THEN NOW YOU TAKE THE TRANSFLASH CARD OUT AND PUT IT INTO THE SD ADAPTOR CARD AND PLUG IT INTO YOUR PC. YOU CAN STREAM VIDEO , MOVIES, MUSIC, DATA, PICTURES... ANYTHING YOU WANT AND PLUG IT BACK TO ZX10. IF YOU NEED FIRMWARE UPGRADE, JUST PUT IT INTO DATA FOLDER IN TRANSFLASH AND PLUG IT BACK TO TH EZX10 AND VOILA, YOU ARE DONE. SAMSUNG DON'T GIVE YOU THE ACCESSORIES BUT THEY WERE OPENED ANOTHER GATES AND UNFORTUNATELY, THEY DON'T HAVE TIME TO TEACH YOU HOW, YOU HAVE TO FIND IT YOURSELF AND I GOT THE PHONE FOR ONLY $100.00 LIKE NEW FORM SOMEONE DOESN'T LIKE THE PHONE AND NOW I ENJOY IT ALONG MY TRIP TO SINGAPORE AND I CAN USE UP ALL FEATURES OF THE PHONE. I BOUGHT AN ADAPTOR FROM HONG KONG CAN USE TO CONNECT THIS PHONE TO MY BOSE HEADSET TO GET THE BETTER BOOT AND CAN TALK THRU IT TOO AND I WILL TEST THE NEXT PART IS WHETHER THIS ADAPTOR WILL RECOGNIZE MY BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR FOR NON-BLUETOOTH PHONE. IF IT WORKS THEN I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY OEVER TH E NEXT ZX20 WHICH WILL REPLACE ZX10. BE PATIENT MR. MOYANO, THIS TECHNOLOGY ERA IS MADE US CRAZY BUT IF WE ARE BRILLIANT THEN WE CAN ENJOY THE TRICK AT A LOW COST.
