Samsung's SPH-i330 phone is a mobile with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) combined. This compact wireless intelligent terminal has a large screen just like a PDA, has been developed in conjunction with Palm and is wholly compatible with all Palm-OS-based applications. This tri mode terminal (CDMA 800/1900, AMPS), designed for use on CDMA2000 1x networks, has a 256-color display and 16 polyphonic ringing. It offers wireless Internet connection and the ability to send and receive e-mail while on the move but using an easy to read screen. Like the Palm it has easy text input via writing recognition and a speakerphone for hands free conversation. The PDA element of the SPH-i330 features a touch screen panel, hand writing recognition (Graffiti), address book, scheduler, to-do list, memo pad, calculator, clock and PC synchronization to allow Palm applications to be downloaded. The data capabilities include web browsing, web clipping available via Palm.net, e-mail, short message service and data synchronization with a PC. The SPH-i330 also includes infrared communication.
