    "Great Phone Honest Review"

by Justtruckin on November 3, 2008

Pros: Slim, Feels GREAT IN HAND, the slider is so easy to move up and down, light, speakerphone is solid, reception great, one of the best looking/feeling phones verizon has ever released... Battery Life is solid so far... THe UI is great

Cons: For me none read my summary....

Summary: Bottom line this is the phone for me and may not be for everyone.... I want the slimest phone possible because I always put my phone in my pocket... The phone feels very durable and feels great in hand.... The ringtones on this phone are much better than what verizon usually comes stocked with.... There are a few wallpapers I really like on this phone, I usually HATE verizons wallpapers and ringtones that the phone comes with... I am a person that chooses not to spend 25 to 30 dollars a month on verizons vcast package or whatever it is, I feel that it is a total rip off so vcast features mean nothing to me.... I have owned a Razr 2 in the past which is a very nice looking phone and this one looks and feels much better honestly.... Beware verizon customers I returned a vx 9400 to get this phone and verizon now charges a 20 dollar restocking fee which is RIDICULOUS I am still angry about it but my love for this phone is washing away my anger.... This phone is so easy to slide up and down I honestly know why people need a thumb grip even if you hit a key the phone auto locks so it doesnt matter anyways.... I WANTED A PHONE TO MAKE CALLS AND SEND TEXTS not pay verizon 30 dollars monthly to get some v cast service that rips you off ..... THe only phone that I would want except this one that verizon is carrying is the DARE but that phone costs a lot and you have to pay monthly fees to use all of its capabilities... I have not loved a phone right off the bat as much as I do this one, I am pretty picky an usually havea complaint about something but with this phone none so far! if you have any comments or questions please post I will try to answer them best I can

Great review! I've narrowed my choices down to the Sway, Samsung Trance, and the Alias 2 (which is also a samsung? really no manufacturer pref, just worked that way.)
I've ruled out the trance due to mediocre reviews, and the alias is my fallback.

My biggest concern with this phone is the call quality. Is there much of a delay? with my last phone, (or current for now) there was a delay which led to me interrupting my caller every time I tried to talk. Sucked when I'm talking to my boss.

Also what do you think of the speaker phone quality? Or is this something you haven't used much?

    Thanks!

I read your review, which was very helpful. I am still debating on getting this phone because I have heard the battery life is terrible. Any feedback on that with this phone? Thanks for your help!

Yeah, the texting is VERY slow. I am a fast texter, but others on here who are not have mentioned again and again how slow the texting is. If you try to type "deed" or "feed" (all on the same key) you will waiting around between letters forever. But, overall, I'm still liking the phone.
