"Great Features Poor Sprint Customer Service"
Pros: All features, nice and slim, great video and pic captures.
Cons: Battery life is not what I expected. Seems to be extremely short but it might just be me?
Summary: I lost my old Sany0 4500 candy bar style phone.
I loved that phone, the talk time was awesome as was the stand by time. Telecommuting makes conference calls a must for me and is key to any phone.
In wanting to stay with Sanyo and the same talk and stand by times, (ratings I researched here) so I purchased the DLX model.
Nice phone, nice features, all the bells and whistles you could want short of a full PDA. I honesly do love the features, it is awesome in that respect. However I do have some big gripes that sometimes make me wish I never purchased the phone.
Music - Sprint has horrible customer service. It appears thier website wants me to register with the Sprint Music store via my phone first. One huge problem...there is no way to do so. Therefore I can't even look at songs on the site until tech support figures out what the problem is. I hate phone customer centers so I'm putting that on hold. For now I can download and listen via my phone which is fine for now.
Battery - Unless I really messed something up in my initial charge or conditioning of the battery. In a word, it SUCKS. I can have a full charge, make 1 or 2 calls on the phone, leave it in my jacket pocket and the very next day it is completely drained. My other phone could sit on the coffee table for about 3 days before I ever needed to charge it. I just look at this one and Poof, batter drained.
Nice features, be careful of batter life and the need for customer service via Sprint.Updated
This phone is awesome! The initial battery was defective and once I got through the customer service nightmare, more in a minute, I got a replacement and Viola'! Excellent battery life!
I stand by my first review, great features etc. For someone who has never been a music phone type of person. I'm having a ball with music, ringers, videos and the whole she-bang!
If music/video files are important to you. Invest in a larger Micro card, I got a 1gig for about $20, and a reader to move files back and forth on your PC. It's that easy!
Now the bad news and it's not phone related. Sprint's customer service has been absolutely, hands down, without a doubt, bar none, (get the picture yet?) THE worst service I have ever encountered anywhere on this planet!!Updated
