"Pretty nice...but" on by GibsonSG
Pros: Good looking, good call quality
Cons: Camera sucks
Summary: I've had this phone for 4 months, and I've always had good call quailty. The speakerphone is nice and loud.
The camera is fair. The problem is the pictures look way better on the phone screen than they do if you email them to yourself. I'm still looking into PC Sync software. I found one so far but you can't transfer videos, only pictures.
All in all I'm happy with it. I'm one of those werid people who generally only makes calls on the phone. -
"One of the best phones I've ever had" on by qwickone
Pros: Colors!, battery life
Cons: shows scratches easily, camera sucks
Summary: I love this phone! I've had it for almost two years now and it's never failed me. It works great despite being dropped SEVERAL times, the menus are intuitive, and there are shorcuts to the menus I use most frequently. The camera sucks because the pictures are usually dark and grainy, but that's my only complaint. The battery seems like it will run out quickly since it goes down to 1 bar after only and hour of talking, but it will remain on 1 bar for another hour at least. The speakerphone is one-touch and can be accessed without opening the phone. All in all, a great, dependable phone.

"GREAT PHONE!!! SUPERB CALL QUALITY!" on by smeister
Pros: Best call quality out of any phone I have ever used.
Cons: Small Screen
Summary: I can't believe cnet gave this phone a 6. No bluetooth? Boo Hoo- buy a phone with it then. This phone made by Sanyo; offers users superb call quality and LOUD speaker phone and great multi-media functions. It also offers a feature I'm extremely excited about. UPDATE PHONE function. This will automatically obtain Sprint's new software they occasionally roll out that updates tower information thus giving you more clear and better reception. This is a great all around phone with plenty of functions. The battery life is pretty standard- and if I wanted more battery life I would just buy the extended battery. High recommened this phone!

"Worse than CNET's ratng of 6.6" on by TomV92835
Pros: Nice, flashy case colors
Cons: No PC Sync; way too loud, garbled audio; difficult keypad design
Summary: I bought the SCP-8100 (original version)over two years ago and have enjoyed its use and flawless performance ever since. Unfortunately, I purchased the MM8300 four days ago as a replacement and have been disappointed from day one. I intend to return it.
There is NO, I repeat NO PC Sync available for this phone, in spite of what the software on the phone reads. Just check with Future Dial if you don't believe it. That means the phone cannot be used as a Modem for your laptop, like the 8100 and the 8200 can.
The back lighting and use of the key pad is a real strain even in direct lighting conditions. Pictures with the camera are dark and murky.
The audio is distorted and difficult to discern. If you need this phone for business, look elsewhere.
Sorry, Sanyo-this phone is terrible-if you can find the 8200, it is a MUCH better value.
