"little bulkey, but great functionality"
Pros: 1.3 megapix camera, voice dialing, speakerphone, media functions are great and plentiful
Cons: video camera is choppy, menu not easy to navigate on the go
Summary: I have had this phone for a few weeks now, and I love it! The ability to text message without needing to log on the the PCS network is great.
The 1.3 megapix pictures look great and the 20x digital zoom is a nice feature; the shutter speed is VERY slow however. I have lost many a great shots due to it, but it is a camera phone, not a dedicated camera. The camcorder option however is HORRID! The video is choppy and and slow, and you can only record for a few seconds; the audio on the video is great however.
The voice activated dialing is a great feature to go along with the speakerphone. There is no need to look at your phone while dilaing with this feature and the voice recognition is amazing to boot.
The Sprint Vision service is great. The phone connects to the network very quickly, even with only two bars (in down town LA). Sprint offers the Sprint TV service (cartoon network's adult swim is a great option). The video, once again is not great, but looks better than the camcorder video. The 'On Demand' service also works very well with the Weather, movie times, sports scores, etc. at the push of button.
The addition of the mini-SD card for additional storage is great! I love being able to take photos and not worry about filling my camera's built in memory. I store the photos in the SD card and either upload them the my online photo album or my PC. The camera also comes with a USB cable you can use to transfer the photos to your computer- very nice detail. The only issuie I had was that although you can transfer the pics and video from your camera to your PC, you can not upload images to the phone... this is heart breaking, but not surprising. Sprint wants you to use (read subscribe) to their online photo service. Through there, you can upload and download pics to your phone and PC with ease. [NOTE: phone does not support .gif images]
All in all, I am loving my new phone and all its glorious functions. WHO NEEDS A CAMCORDER ON YOUR PHONE ANYWAY!? (better camcorder quality would have been nice though...)
