The Bottom Line It may not be pretty, but the Sonim XP1 is a rugged GSM cell phone that's built to last. It offers good call quality, too. We're astounded by the lack of multimedia messaging, but the Sonim XP3 Quest should withstand most torture tests. Despite some design flaws, Sonim's new XP3300 Force is a cut above previous rugged models. The Samsung Rugby II improves on its predecessor and delivers a functional, rugged phone with satisfying performance. The Sonim XP1300 Core doesn't bring a lot of features and call volume could be higher, but it more than fits the bill as an exceptionally durable cell phone.
