"Wonderful except for CAMERA!!" on by creatlanta
Pros: Great design, attractive, user friendly, compact, many usable functions.
Cons: LED flash SUX!! In any indoor/low light situations, 9/10 photos are worthless. Notified SE since i purchased 1/09.You'll see many complaints regarding this exact issue on web. Hope they will address - downloaded the new firmware 3/10/09, no changes!
Summary: Bottom line for me is that i purchased this phone for the camera component to the phone. It shouldnt be marketed as a viable camera phone as most people utilize these camera phones for social situations which usually involve lower light or indoor photos. I feel extremely ripped off since i paid $550 in the sony style store and now am stuck with no return options available or offered by sony ( i did inquire if i could upgrade to the c905 since apparently that model changed back to the xenon flash). Also, disturbingly, they seem oblivious to this LED flash problem in low light pictures....google the web and it's one of the main complaints including the spontaneous freeze/turn off complaints which i personally did have with my first c902, but it didnt happen again after i received a replacement (which i thought would also fix the flash problem, but didnt).

"Great in most ways, real problems with concert photos" on by davidcjohnson
Pros: Great daytime photos, cool snap open camera, nice quality screen with touch on the camera icons
Cons: Takes terrible photos at concerts, very weak and out-of-sync flash
Summary: The camera takes outstanding daytime photos, great movies, etc. However I mainly bought it to have a 5MP camera for concerts where real cameras not allowed in the venue.
I have used it at 4-5 shows now and take dozens of photos in the hopes of getting some good ones. With the settings on auto across the board, I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 photos that actually focus and snap in time.
The camera takes 4-5 seconds sometimes to focus then snap as you hold it up.
You're trying to take a shot of the lead singer from the front row and by the time the thing snaps off he's standing up or turning around.
The flash seems almost out of sync, unless you take a photo of someone in a darker area from about 3 feet away the flash barely lights them up.
I so wanted this to be the ultimate camera, I mean it's the James Bond camera for Pete's sake but the camera is just a huge disappointment.
As a phone it works ok. I get annoyed at the contact list where after highlighting the contacts phone number I can't just press Enter again to dial, that takes you to the contact list, you have to reach over and hit the dial button. -

"DO NOT BUY ANY SONY ERICSSON CELL PHONES" on by dexteriot

"Smart looking, slim build with good all round features" on by grejoh
Pros: This mobile is built around the camera being 5.0 mega pixel with enhanced features such as touch screen functions to boot, not to mention the music platform, radio and bluetooth witch can be paired with bluetooth headphones for convenience.
Cons: Mac heads beware, SE great for Windows, but not for OS X, isync and Media Sync are available for contacts and itunes, but not video transfer, " Media go" is Window only, you can transfer recorded Video back and forth but not upload clips from the web
Summary: With PC platform drawback only a slight issue in my view, music, contacts and theme creator work well with the Mac either direct connection or bluetooth, I am sure Media go" will eventually be available, I like the idea that the network configuration is GSM and 3G with video calling upgradable for the future, so' with a sim-free version the sky's the limit.
