"Get the unlocked version not att's crap..."2.5 starson by dctech08
Pros: Very nice display, animated themes, nice interface, accelerometer.
Cons: Camera is not as good as expected and really once that fails to impress the rest of the phone is not worth it. GPS functions are locked untill you pay for the app service to use it. features that are in the unlocked version were taken out like, wifi,
Summary: I purchased this phone and had it for 29 days. I thoroughly played with all the features.
The camera was nice and it had all the functionality of a standalone version but, the image quality in my opinion was not good enough to justify any restrictions att put on the phone.
The GPS receiver didn?t work for the Image location when taking pictures, the yellow pages application or any other GPS software other than ATTs services.
Almost every game or application loaded was trial or demo.
The construction of the phone was flimsy and fragile. (on my way to return it, the phone slipped in between my seat and when I picked it up it had a dent in the metal on the side and the rubber piece started to peel off.
On Sony Ericsson?s web page they had an update that gave the camera a smile detector that took a picture when the subject smiles automatically! But I could not update it for the 905a.
Short battery life
Att took out the wifi receiver so no wifi.
The web browser is awful but it works great with opera mini.
3rd party app?s and games are lacking and are not fun.
I would mention the good things but in my opinion they are not worth talking about after all these con?s
Bottom line, get a Smartphone ultimately your plan is gonna cost about the same you will just have to pay more for the equipment.
Also if you want a really good camera just invest in small compact one with the same functionality. Having such a good camera in a mediocre cell phone is not worth it.
