"If you like Gadgets this is the phone for you..." on by Vegasmethod
Pros: Small and sexy, spectacular video/photo, MP3 Player, Radio, Flashlight, out of this world graphics
Cons: Half the phones fault and half the providers fault...not good with reception thru T-mobile at least, limited features thru provider...
Summary: …After being liberated from Verizon’s money hungry rule, I was pleased to see a phone that actually did what I wanted and OMG, it wasn’t disabled…I could actually use the Bluetooth…and what is this…I can use the MP3’s/Media player…MP3’s can be used as ringers…U mean I don’t have to pay 3 dollars for 30 seconds of some bell trying to replicate the Umpalumpa Song…come on Verizon…if you’re the biggest/greatest give your people something in return…AH…okay…anyways back to the review…when I removed the phone from its package I was a little surprised, one because it was smaller that I envisioned it and two because it looked like a toy…but I got over that when I put the battery in it and realized that the phone was extremely light and elegant. I have not done the firm ware update on it, but I can tell you…the UI is great contrary to what others have said. The games that come with it make me feel like I’m using a PSP, just 1/4’s the size…I have not synchronized or put the MP3’s (I've only used it for a day and a half) in it but the Radio function and speaker on this bad boy is by far the greatest I’ve heard on a phone. The battery life is great, I’ve had the radio playing for the last 5 hours and I’ve only lost one bar. And if you are worried about the head set being needed for the Radio to work…you will soon get over it,cuase you can still turn the speaker while the head set is being used...also the head set can be used to make phone calls…now the bad…well like most phones that have internal antennas the reception is weakened and then on top of that I am using T-mobile as my provider…(Cingular can not use this phone, they use 850, this phone does not have that capability, plus they are too expensive)…so I have to blame both the phone and the provider for that…but in the end…all the extra goodies and the fact that reception really is an issue in hard to get places (in side a building, etc) the phone is a great buy…and if you get lost in deserted island you can atleast flag down ships with your SOS flashing-flahslight..oh yeah!

"Spectecular" on by rkwpk
Pros: 2.0 MP Camera, Stylish design, MP3 tones, FM radio, Animated themes
Cons: Lower earphone volume
Summary: For all camera phone enthusiasts out there, this phone is on top of all other phone within its price range. Nobody else is offering a 2.0MP camera in a phone which has all the qualities like a digital camera in this price range. Therefore the first major point is the price of this product compare to the funtions and qualities you get.
I am now using it for over a month and such problems I have seen with other users like jamming up or so, I couldnt find any of that. Lets review different parts of the phone first.
CAMERA: Although for a photo enthusiasts the camera is not likeable but for a quick photo this device becomes very handy and the picture result is very impressive in the day light and looks good when viewed on a monitor screen. Indoor shots are, however, not as good but the flash helps to improve the picture. We cannot compare it with a proper digital camera at all, but this is the best which is being offered in a mobile phone, and I dont think the mobile phone cameras can get to a level of the digital cameras with higher resolutions, high apperture lens and optical zoom.
SCREEN RESOLUTION: A 262K TFT screen is very enjoyable to see.
MESSAGING: Every thing cool, specially the T9 manipulation which you found awkward in start as compared to nokia but you enjoy it onvce you get use to it.
MEMORY: Phone has 32MB Internal memory and comes with 64MB of memory stick duo but if you want to keep things on the phone then I recommend atleast an additional 256MB memory. Here's a one drawback that swapping the stick will require the phone to be restart, the phone will not recognize it otherwise.
MEDIA PLAYER: The phone comes with a headphone hands free and sound quality is quite good. By mounting a larger size memory stick it becomes a perfect portable music player although the sound is not as loud as a sony CD walkman or mp3 player but it still has megabass option to give sound a groovy touch.
CONNECTIVITY: There are all things here like Blue tooth, IR, GPRS etc.
COSTOMIZEABILITY: There are a lot of downloadable themes avilable on the internet whcih can change the whole look of the phone menus. MP3 sounds can be set as tones, but .wav file are not supported. Its a little drawback as my 7610 plays .wav file.
ENTERTAINMENT: There are a lot of stuff like Video DJ, Photo DJ, 3D games and much more. I really like playing the real tennis.
SOUND: The speaker on the rear emits good sound but its not as good as my K508i. The earphone volume is a little low when you are in a crouded area, other wise its fine in indoors. But again it is not as good as my K508i. The earphone was too low when I bought it new but after getting it updated from SE website with new firmware it is good now.
BATTERY: The battery is lithium polymer which works as double as a normal K508i lithium ion battery. It is very good for a phone with functions like that.
CONCLUSION: The overall performance of the phone is really amazing and I enjoyed a lot using it. It is a must have gadget for all. -
"Very nice phone, great features, check network compatability" on by donewithnextel
Pros: Small in stature, big on performance
Cons: Only one so far - volume can be a tad low in noisy places
Summary: I have had this phone for a little over a month now. I did a lot of research on phones, carriers, etc and I came to the conclusion this was the one to get. I have had both candy bar and clamshell phones, and each have their advantages. I was leary at first to buy a phone that wasn't offered by any of the major carriers, so I checked around and found in some of the other reviews on this site, people have had success with Cingular. That very well may be the case in their neck of the woods, not mine. Detroit area. Cingular would have nothing to do with me. After speaking with Sony, they told me I need a carrier that supports the 1900 frequency, and they suggested T-Mobile. After spending a little while on the phone with T-Mobile, the next day I had my sim card in hand and then in my phone and I was up and running. Now, I did have to spend some more time on the phone with them getting my phone configured for data and internet transmission, but there is a reason they have the top rated customer service in the industry. No, I don't work for them but I have had AT&T and Nextel prior to T-Mobile, and they don't even come close. One of the other Cons I read on C-net was about the size of the buttons. Okay, they may be a little small but what can one expect in a small phone, they could have made the display smaller and the keys bigger but which would you rather have? I have some very big hands and it takes a little getting used to, like my old Nokia candy bar phone, but you can do it. Chock full of features, excellent camera, tiny and easy to navigate menus. Oh, the editors also said the phone may be a bit heavy? I don't know about you but having something so small with a little weight to it tells me that there is something in there, not just a plastic case with cheap display. This is a substantial phone, rock solid. You can use a lot of the accessories for the W800 with this phone, most importantly the charger, because the charger you get in the box is set up for those European plugs, yes they do give you an adaptor, but it barely stays together. Okay, I guess one con would be, with such a beautiful display, and in the candy bar format, it may be hard to keep the display from getting scratched. I guess one could use a carrying case, but thats not for me. Hope this review helps.

"What a phone. This Phone is the best out in the market. I give it a 9.5 out of 10." on by Moe1985
Pros: 2 megapoxel camera, Small,Design,mp3 plyr & quality like ipod, too many to write
Cons: 3.5 mm jack would be good although i think u could purchase a converter, screen could be a little bigger but the phone will have to be bigger.
Summary: This phone has tooo many pros to mention. Some other pros are the mp3 ringtones. I mean mp3 songs. That is tight and it sounds really good. The best theing is the media player. You can make playlists and the equalizer is the best. I was reading reviews by websites and some of them were saying the mp3 quality is as good or better than ipods. Now that is something. The Megabass is awesome it is like having a subwoofer in ur ear. The games on the phone are awesome. I dowloaded crash bandicoot and put it in my fone. Anyway the phone has many good features but it is not perfect like everything else in this world. The screen could have been bigger. Dont get me wrong the color and the graphics of the screen make it one of the best screen out there next to the SE s700i screen but the screen could have been a little bigger. The other thing is the firmware or the software on the phone. You could always upgrade the firmare on the SE website by using the isb cable included in the package but if u get stuck with a old firware phone then u shoulc upgrade. I dodnt have to. I got the phone with the lates firmare. Other than those two minor things there is nothing else bad or wrong with the fone. Honestly those are the smalles cons u could find in a fone.

"Pretty Good for a Camera Phone" June 8, 2005 by BigGuyJr.
Pros: Camera 2MP, Size, screen has 265,000colour, battery life, external memory, internal memory, looks.
Cons: the buttons.
Summary: this phone is really good, using it i've realised that the buttons can get annoying, cuz they are too close together, but this phone has a lot of pros which cancle the problem of the buttons. the size is great, its small doesnt take up space in your pocket,(i used to have the SE P910i before this phone, and it was too big) the Camera is EXCELENT, perfect quelity, probably the best quality camera on a phone ever. i haven't used a phone that has a better camera then this one. the screen is ausome, its soo clear and bright, the flash is strong, and turns any dark room into a bright room, makes it seem as if the sun can out. the battery life is the best on a phone i've seen so far on a phone like this, the P910i had 13 talk time, this phone had 9 hours, the Nokia 6680-6681 both have 5 hours, which is less, so your sony ericsson will last longer, now you have more time to talk on the phone. the external memory that comes with it is a lot to what other phones usually come with. it comes with a 64mb card, which is a lot of space. internal memory is 38, but u can use 32, which is also pretty good. the phone is cery stylish, has a cool slider for the camera on the back which i think is really cool.
all in all this phone has everything i think you need in a phone, the only trouble is the buttons which i think are too close, but you can get used to them, this is just a little step back for this phone, but it isnt a big one.
