    "Had it for 2 years and no problem..................." on by nintendo2005

    Pros: 65,000 colur screen,tri-band,camera,blueto oth and infared

    Cons: No speakerphone, only 2mb of memory for sony phone! no memory stick duo slot!

    Summary: I had this phone for 2 years and had no problem! The only thing is that this phone has no speakerphone and for a sony phone it has 2mb of memory which is really the basics for a ordinary camera phone!!! Sony Ericsson could off but a memory stick duo that supports up to a 256mb memory stick duo at least!!! I got my phone unlocked so in case I change my service provider i can still have my sounds, pictures and all of my other stuff!!! It is great if you upgrade it to an unlocked phone!!!

    "Average phone" on by Kasuran

    Pros: Small and light

    Cons: Joystick, Screen, Camera

    Summary: This phone would've probably earned an excellent from me if Sony had been smart enough to just back off their "unique" characteristics on their devices. The joystick is just painful. Makes browsing the phone ridiculously hard. Has a camera, but it's pretty bad... Pictures come out blurred and is distorted heavily by small movements. The screen is just a nightmare. Contrast sucks and the resolution sucks. Also the buttons are small and for those with rather large fingers(wide), like me, will have some sort of difficulty in pushing them. Some pros though are the battery which can last on standby for around a week. Audio quality is only so-so and the shape of the phone makes it a little harder to hear and talk into the phone. Sony, you bombed, why don't you just stop the customization on your products, it's only reducing your sales.

    "Good Phone!" on by se0405

    Pros: 65,595k screen, bluetooth,infared,nice small design,camera and tri-band

    Cons: No speakerphone, no all-day event support in calender!

    Summary: This is a good phone! If you check zdnet or phone scoop, you will see that the t616 has been getting a higher rating than the t637!!! This phone has great bluetooth and sound quality! It is tri-band (gsm 900/1800/1900)!!! so it will work around the world, even when unlocked!!! I recomend this phone!

    "Secret to phone is update firmware!" on by dycorrado

    Pros: Since upgraded signal is beyond execellent, bluetooth works great

    Cons: 10 if had speaker phone, who needs the camera

    Summary: The secret to the success of this phone is to update the latest firmware. I bought this phone to replace my lost one online and it was already updated. The signal is like night and day from my previous t616. I have yet to drop a call and I travel alot. Bluetooth works great. Speakerphone would have been nice. Who needs the camera, buy a real one. Call sony for firmware updates and you wont be disappointed.

    "Good phone with some minor quirks" on by andyubf

    Pros: Long Standy Batter Life; Great Screen;

    Cons: Short Ring-Time; Small Memory Size;

    Summary: When I first got this phone two years ago, it was great. One of my classmates had it and I really wanted to get it.

    What I liked about it:
    - Small and compact, not like some big bulky phones I saw
    - The aesthetic aspect of the icons: it just looked smooth and nice
    - The Joystick was very innovative and despite what some people say, it IS a good way to navigate through the screen

    What I didn't like about it:

    - The Ring-Time. Basically, the phone would ring for nearly 1.5 seconds and then go to my voicemail. This sucked because everytime I scrambled to answer a phone call, it would go to voicemail and I'd have a missed call.

    - Very low volume. A phone like this should be able to generate a decent volume for its ringtones and it just didn't come up with the goods in this section.

    - The joystick control deteioriated after a while. On my particular phone, pressing the joystick down (not IN) stopped working. I'd have to press down a few times and then finally, it would kick in like, "Oh wow, he's pressing down, I guess should work now!"

    - The amount of memory is just darn lousy. 4 megs? Come on.

    Conclusion: This was a good handset at the time it came out. The design was very unique and appealing, but I think that's where its special qualities ended. A good phone for someone who wants to just "look" cool.
