"So far no good"
Pros: MP3 Player, Address Book, Instant Messenging
Cons: Weak Camera, Phone has bad reception even in populated areas, bulky design
Summary: I have had this phone about a month now. I do a lot of traveling for my job so I thought this would be a good companion. First off the phone reception is awful and disgraceful but maybe I have a messed up phone. The signal fades and disconnects my calls. I can hear static on the line when on calls. Cmon folks features are great but if you don't have a good phone to back them up what good is features? As far as the MP3 player: I think this is the best part of the phone and I have no complaints. 256mb of space is more than enough for my favorite songs. Speaker and headphone quality is great too. The camera sucks. Pictures come out fuzzy indoors, ok outdoors but not the best. Only use the camera in emergency situations when you don't have a digital on hand. Now in all fairness to Sony I am getting a replacement from Cingular and if the phone quality improves I will come back on and give it a 10.

I get amazing reception (except in places where you'd expect it like... I dunno... a concrete building). Whether in the city or out in the middle of nowhere KS, I hear clear as day. Folks hear all kinds of stuff on my end as well, though, which I think is pretty crazy.

I was thinking of buying this phone until I read your review. I like the "gadgets" that are a part of this phone, but the most important thing to me, is call quality and reception. Did you get your new phone? Is it better? Any more information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Did you ever get your new Sony Ericsson W600i? Was the second one as bad as the first?
