"Sony Ericsson needs to admit they have a bad product!"
Pros: When this phone works, I really like the quality of the pictures it takes, the volume is great, and it has enough extras to keep me entertained.
Cons: Sony Ericsson is replacing my phone. AGAIN! I don't want another phone that is going to turn off, pause while dialing or texting, not send or receive, or tell me I have an Inactive Smart Chip. The 750a is a lemon, and Sony Ericsson needs to admit it.
Summary: I want a different model, but AT&T and Sony Ericsson will not step up to the plate. This phone obviously is a piece of crap, and to be told my only option is to get a third phone that I know will eventually start having the same issues is unacceptable. I am very disappointed in both companies, I have been a loyal AT&T and Sony consumer for a decade, How disheartening to know that they are not as loyal.

I have the same exact problems!

I've had the same exact problems you're having with this phone, so I feel your intense frustration, but there is a way to get a different model! Customer services has a policy where, after having tried the same model phone 3 times with problems, you are allowed to receive a different compatible model free of charge. This can only be done once per warranty, so if you're unhappy with the different model, you're stuck with it until you can upgrade. But they will continue to send you refurbished phones of the same model, like they have done with the z750a, if the phone is faulty.
I just called yesterday and said I had been told by the AT&T store's manager that I could receive a different model after having tried 3 times (original purchase + 2 replacements), which was all true. I was given a choice of 3 phones, free of charge without any hassle as long as I ship back the z750a like I did with the other faulty models. Just keep fighting them!
